Me and my children love the splash pad here they have a bathroom unlike the one in Fall River and there's plenty of shade and no cost You can even cook on that grills for free

I love taking my dogs for a run out here, they love the open space! You do not need 4x4 to go through the access roads but always be careful of rocks and deeper puddles .

Pretty good hike! There’s definite evidence of extracurricular activities in the forest, but don’t let that stop you from climbing to the top of profile rock or exploring the trails. Tons of evergreen trees. Pictures are of the view from the top of the rock. Be careful as private property does border the forest in several locations

Great place to take children of all ages! Amazing hiking/walking trails. If you like the nature and everything that comes with it you'll love the trails. Also has a wading pool for children and parents. They also have sites where you can set up for the day with charcoal grills. Bathrooms on site.

No animals are allowed in the forest, to many spiders
Google Carl Drew fom fall river .
There are fire lanes that are off limits but usually gated so as long as you stick to the named roads, yes
Yes
June 18th to Sept. Open 930 am to 6 pm
They do let you camp for free bathrooms close at dusk. Its a great place to camp. You can camp near any of the grills you see I think there are like 10 spots get there early enough
How are trucks ok but not 4 wheelers I see people on this post saying only two wheels?
Hell yeah just go right in there's no tickets, no stipulations, just open wilderness
Unless it has changed, 3 and 4 wheelers are not permitted in the forrest.
Yeah it's free. It's past the railroad tracks pass by the museum & then profile rock in freetown , you will see the freetown state forest sign and that's where it is.
No.4x4s are not allowed.
I haven't a clue. It was our 1st. Time their Nice wide trails. People were very friendly and shared how not to get lost. We had a blast me and my Buddy Debo My American Bulldog.
I went there week and half ago and all the gates were closed so you could only walk trails.
Massasoit State Park in East Taunton is pretty close
Lmao only with you !!
We went for a walk a few weeks ago around the ledge, the dirt bike trails were packed. Should be open unless they want people to steer clear because of the latest jumper of the ledge....
The recording says June 24th I think for pool so would think splash pad same?? Going to take ride now. Will update you.
Five minute walk from the inner parking lot.
In all my visits, I have never encountered anything considered paranormal. There is a plethora of small woodland creatures that could make someone think they hear stuff.
EP might ask for your registration card your supposed to carry on you
It wasnt as of yesterday. Turkey hunting just ended so it should open any day now
Yes believe you still can
Absolutely. Plenty of places to run an electric RC without bothering anybody else, you will have a blast. I take my SCX10 there often.
No fees. Only valid MA registration required. Only dirt bikes are permitted. No 3 or 4 wheeled ORVs.
Only dirtbikes, no quads. If the DCR or enviornmental police are out there you will get fined & maybe even towed.
Well last year it open some time in May for splash pad and for wading pool sometime in June, so I would assume the same time this year. But definitely call them to make sure.
THAT
No fires are allowed in the forest.
No, there isnt. For parking or admission.
The area is also patrolled by the park rangers and environmental police.
The park is open from Sunrise to Sunset you can be there before the wadding pool is open.
I believe 9:30 to 6, but that can change
I believe that there are places to kayak there
After the small bridge take right and almost one mill you find the entrance
I was there yesterday you need to get there early they close it due to not enough life guards on duty..
You can reserve the Pavillion for private parties. I did it last year and again this year.
Dirtbikes only with mass ohv registration. No quads allowed
Yes not permanent though
