Student drivers, new drivers, explore other options that all I'm saying. EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS!!! -3yrs experience.

Great company, good trainers, and decent starter pay with incentives. Longest trip has been 6 days and you get used to sleeping with the truck moving. I wrote that first paragraph when I first started and now I've been with Cooke for about a year. My opinion has only grown more positive for this company. The owner and those in the office may be jerks sometimes and they can be rude as hell but they value their employees. They've gone out of their way a few times now to see that I'm taken care of, even when it may not be in the best interest of the company. They're like family and if you're good to them, they'll be very good to you.

I worked here for several years. If you are looking for a company to get your experience, here it is. Hometime is okay. The pay is about middle of the industry. The health insurance is good. The 401k is okay. There isn't any assigned loads / runs. There are too many out of shape drivers that shouldn't even have a CDL. There isn't too much loyalty. It's their way, even if wrong or no way. ✌

Honestly I dated a trucker that worked here and it's more work and it helps with keeping money through the pandemic but at the same time I believe that if we where to rely more on local suppliers and not be traveling rn at all it would reduce the spread of covid. As a ride along I saw so many truckers with symptoms not reported. It would be financially easier to rely on local suppliers only for the time being
No. But they do accept new drivers with no experience. Try DCCC college they have a driver training program
Nope
Wish maintenance would get them tweeked. They have em shifting at poor power curve times. Really stinks on cherry pop hills. Matter of timing.
They have a few solo drivers that only drive north east, and Canada.
They don't pay for exp. But you can talk to Danny Sidden and he will decide what pay rate to start you at. I have been driving for 19yrs and have been with Cooke for 2yrs. It's a great place and people to work for. That treat you like a person, not a number.. Plus, they have many perks!!!
They are governed at 70 m.p.h.
