We learned after the first time of using Pellets Direct never to go with a different company. 4 out of the 5 years we have lived in NE so far, we have ordered pellets from Pellets Direct. Only 1 year did we try a different company and that was the first year we lived here (we where new to the area and didn't have a clue). The other company screwed up our driveway and didn't deliver where they said they would! Pellets Direct has always delivered on time and placed the pellets in the garage (this depends on what you order for delivery service), plus didn't screw up our very steep driveway!! After placing our order on line, they call to confirm the order with you. Then they advise they will be calling you again to schedule your delivery date, in the month you choose (Oct, Nov, Dec etc.). Your card is not charged till they call and confirm/schedule the delivery date. Pellets Direct employees and staff very friendly to talk with and are very helpful in making sure you get the best pellets to fit your needs. They work with you on delivery and the driver is super nice and helps make sure the pellets get put where you need them!! Love that the driver recognizes who you are the next year when he comes to deliver and remembers how many pallets you order and where you usually have them put!! (Now that is another great service point)!! This will be our pellet company as long as we live in NE!! Thanks for being so great Pellets Direct!!

Have purchased from Pellets Direct numerous times over the years. Been burning pellets for almost 20 years. I'm picky about my pellets and know what I and my stove likes. I'll shop them first and if they have what I'm looking for I'll place an order. Prices are fair for decent pellets and I have not had an issue with them. Box stores will be cheaper, but experienced burners know the pellets are junk. Pellets Direct delivered my 2016-2017 supply. One of the pallets had some water damage. Kevin told me to count the damaged bags and he would give me a credit. Turned out the water damage went down through the whole pallet, many bags blown out. Kevin said no problem and scheduled a pickup and delivery of a fresh pallet. I had to wait a couple weeks, but that was understandable as it was pre-winter premium delivery time. They took care of the customer and I will order again.

I have been doing business with Pellet Direct for the last 3 years, since my previous provider went out of business (South Shore Wood Pellets). I have never had an issue with ordering through their website, nor have I experience any problems with their delivery service. The pellets come double wrapped and are placed into my garage. I always order between 4 to 5 tons a years, so trust me, if I encountered any problems stated in other posted reviews I would take my business else where. And one last point, their prices are very fair, especially the early buying program.

I have purchased pellets from this company for the last 3 years and I am used to having to be patient for delivery (no problem). However, this year I am especially frustrated and will no longer be doing business with them going forward. Why? I ordered over $1,000 of product through their website in early Oct-2015. I received the automated email acknowledging my order which indicates that it will take a week before delivery is scheduled, with expectation that delivery will be in ~2 ~3 weeks (which is also what their recorded message says when you call). I did not try to reach them to ask about a delivery date until ~2 weeks had gone by because, as mentioned, I know from experience that patience is required. However, it has now been nearly a month and there has been no response to three (3) phone calls and messages I've left for them. I simply requested status of my order without concern or demands about delivery date. How can any customer be expected to not hear back for so long after multiple attempts to get status of an order (while watching my current stash of pellets dwindling as colder weather arrives)? I'm done with these guys, as they have shown absolutely no regard for their (repeat) customers. Update: once this business learned that I had placed a negative review I finally received a call back (Kevin). He informed me that he was canceling my order by quoting my review above, saying he was "honoring my request to no longer do business with them." He told me that putting a bad review online was a "slimy thing to do." It is amazing how out-of-touch a business can be. If you don't like negative reviews, how about not ignoring customer inquiries for over a month?!? I would much rather be updating this review by saying the owner saw the complaint and responded to my requests for order status, but instead I'm writing to say that this business has added insult to injury. Kevin; thanks to social media you don't get to bully your customers in this day and age. People share their experiences and pellets are a commodity...

Most pellet shipments come in 1.1 ton pallets so the per ton price wouldn't be the same as the pallet price. 55 bags per pallet.
