Beautiful sprawling escape from the bustle of the concrete jungle. All kinds of fishing, coves, deep cat, lots of cover for spawning bass. Great place to explore to teach young folks about appreciating nature. Yes there are trails, however it is generally considered rude to carry on a loud phone conversation while on trails. Put the phone down and breathe it in. 10/10 recommend.

Awesome place. Best for kayaking. Far better than lake Norman. Love the place and hopping to visit once in every week

Lots of trails here but pay attention because they wind around and intersect, and aren't always marked well. Take a picture of the map to have with you. But finding the little beaches on the lake was a treasure. Kids loved it. Highly recommend!
