I really enjoy this Preserve! It's Beautiful and Peaceful. We always have fun Kyacking here.

Beautiful sprawling escape from the bustle of the concrete jungle. All kinds of fishing, coves, deep cat, lots of cover for spawning bass. Great place to explore to teach young folks about appreciating nature. Yes there are trails, however it is generally considered rude to carry on a loud phone conversation while on trails. Put the phone down and breathe it in. 10/10 recommend.

Awesome place. Best for kayaking. Far better than lake Norman. Love the place and hopping to visit once in every week

Lots of trails here but pay attention because they wind around and intersect, and aren't always marked well. Take a picture of the map to have with you. But finding the little beaches on the lake was a treasure. Kids loved it. Highly recommend!

Depends on what you plan to do if you are just kayaking there is no admission fee. But if you plan to tour there may be fees.
It would be best to guarantee spot especially for holidays.. but it's first come first served at any time
It depends on the event. The fee can be found on the event website.
We asked one of the volunteers when we visited, and he responded that there were around 30 slaves who worked at this property.
Its like the 90s... Before the Age of Google.. https://www.lattaplantation.org/events
Not on the tour, and i wouldnt recommend it around the house's petting zoo, but it is a county park so everywhere else should be fine
I'm not sure about either question. But if you use at the history of the area there may have been slaves. To be sure you will need to take the tour. (When my granddaughter and I were there, we didn't take the tour.)
Yes
Not to get in to the park. But there is to take a tour at the raptor center.
It's open; not sure if the horse back riding and bird center is though.
