I visited WorkWorld with the intention to buy 3-4 pairs of Dickies work slacks and a couple sets of black scrubs. I was overwhelmed with sizes and styles so purchasing online was not an option, I needed an in store shopping experience and help finding the size and fit that I was looking for. When I entered the store I was greeted by three sales associates that had all been chatting amongst themselves. After their greeting I just assumed that one of them would approach me and ask me if I was looking for something specific. No, they all just went back to talking but more quiet, which made shopping in the empty store a little awkward. I was completely lost in the store, but decided to just do a lap to get my bearings. After at least 5mins of walking around I found the woman’s Dickies slacks. I stood there examining the styles and sizes for a few minutes and then spotted the dressing room and decided to try some on. I went in and out of the dressing twice trying on four different pants without being asked how I was doing, or if I needed any help. Needless to say I didn’t luck out in the woman’s section so I went to the other side of the store to check out the smaller mens Dickies. Unfortunately most of the smaller sizes were out of reach to customers. Luckily I found a couple of stacks of slim cut smaller waisted male slacks on the bottom shelf. So I proceeded to try on a few more pairs, but with no luck. I needed some from the very high shelves after all. Here’s the thing… I’m black and as I brushed off what I thought was poor customer service and fended for myself, I got to hear others enter the store and be asked if they needed help finding anything. This happens to me often in my area so when it does I have to make a choice, Do I have the emotional and mental capacity to ignore this poor customer service that has strong undertones of being race related. It’s exhausting, and some days I manage better than others. By the time I had entered the dressing room 4 separate times and not been asked if I needed any assistance I was at my limit, i feared that my annoyance would have poured out if I asked a sales person to help me get some of the smaller styles and sizes down for me. Not wanting to risk being viewed as the rude black shopper or angry black woman I left the store. I will not be returning to this store and plan to go to Dickies directly to report my concerns and poor shopping experience.

Good selection...never have been impressed by the level of customer service here. Each time I go in there I feel like I am bothering the staff by being there and don't think of asking them a question. I feel mostly like they just want to be there to process my payment and get me out.

Many people only come to these sites to complain. I on the other hand have had nothing but positive experiences with this company. Great prices, great selection, great fit, fast shipping, tons of discounts and I promise you will have a hard time beating the prices. Most of the complaints I read were about returning shoes. These are probably the same people that drink a half gallon of milk then decide to return it for their money back. If you do your homework research the type of shoe, know your shoe size, you shouldn’t have a problem at all. I hope those helps, overall a great company to buy from
