But if you want amazing food you need to stop in here! So much on the menu. We had seafood which was cooked to order. NOTHING frozen! From salads, burgers, steaks and seafood! Batter on the fried food is light and not greasy. Service is friendly and quick!! Support your local businesses... And if your near Lowell you won't go wrong stopping at Captain John's! Parking on the street and behind, outdoor seating. NOTE Cash only, but ATM inside and bank across the street!

Went on a Monday, so there were plenty of seats. We each had seafood, I had the 3 way with fried cams and my girlfriend had the 2 way. Each item, the fish, scallops, shrimp and clams were delicious. They were cooked perfectly with the right amount of crackers. The sides, mashed potatoes and broccoli, were also cooked perfectly. We will definitely return.

This is a hidden gem. Love the cozy atmosphere... the staff are awesome... and the food is amazing. This trip I tried the drunken haddock 2way with shrimp and crumbs.... every bite was amazingly delicious!!! I haven't had a meal here I didn't love.
