There isn’t enough time or space to convey how amazing this facility is. The people are top notch. Above and beyond with their care, kindness and responsiveness. I still get overwhelmed by what a dream it has been to have my father here. We had SO many bad experiences before coming here. I doubted we would ever get my father good care .....and then came Cornerstone. I was in disbelief, thought it might be short lived, but, no- it gets better and better. Do not hesitate for a second to put your loved one here.

Amazing staff. They took great care to really get to know our mom and once they discovered that she was a teacher and loved poetry, they added a "Poetry with M." on the recreation calendar where she could teach a class to other residents. She was engaged in a highly meaningful and personally engaging activity.

From the initial visit through their check-out at Cornerstone, the experience was absolutely first class. The staff were caring, empathetic and had a deep local understanding of the community. For long time Milfordians, it was an immediate "home" for them. The quality of the rooms and diversity of activities were far better than anything we visited in making our decision. Without hesitation, Cornerstone would get our top recommendation. It was tremendously comforting to know (especially as a son who does not live locally), that they were in such good hands. p.s. ..my parents raved about the food also.

My parents have been life long residents of Milford and recently moved in and out of Cornerstone while their home was made ready for geriatric accommodations. The seven-month stay at Cornerstone was a comforting experience for my parents and their children. The transition into Cornerstone was heartfelt. The entire staff was receptive, friendly and helpful. The facilities are top-notch-- clean, new and maintained. The dining area was easily accessible and accommodating to needs of the residents and guests. My parents loved their stay. While they are enjoying their new home, they have fond memories of the Cornerstone staff and all of the residents.

We do not have a physical therapist on staff, but residents often need PT and they contract for the services directly through an outside agency. Physical therapists visit their patients in our community all the time. They provide PT services in the privacy of the resident’s own apartment. We often help to arrange for PT by recommending local agencies, helping to coordinate appointments, and reminding residents when their appointments will take place.
It is super easy to apply online. Visit our website - see “careers” at the top right. You’ll find a list of open positions with a description of the job and qualifications needed. If you like what you see, just scroll to the bottom and click on “view listing”, then scroll down again and hit “apply for this position.” Sometimes people also just drop in to fill out an application in person. Just ask our Receptionist for our job application.
We usually have at least several open positions. Look at “Careers” on the top right of our website. You’ll see a list of available jobs here and other assisted living communities located in our area. We hire CNAs to provide personal care for our residents, and nurses to oversee the Resident Care Department. We also hire cooks and servers, and have housekeeping and maintenance positions. We hire people to run activity programs for residents in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. We also have management positions. If you like older people and the idea that you, personally, can make a real difference in their lives, we might be the work environment you’ve been looking for!
Yes! Feel free to move in with your dog or cat. Our staff is pet friendly, but our residents care for their pets themselves. We are not able to clean up after pets, or take them for walks.
We often have couples living here. Sometimes one of them lives in assisted living and the other one in our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood. It’s difficult to give you an exact answer because the total monthly cost depends on the personalized care services that each of your parents need, as well as the size/type of apartment they choose. Our community is unique in that we have several financial programs that can reduce your monthly payment. We accept a special medical insurance program that offsets the cost, that we can help you access. We help residents who are veterans take advantage of a VA benefit that provides $1,000+/month toward their payment. We also accept long-term care insurance. Our basic monthly fee covers a lot: your apartment, emergency pull cord system, 3 meals, housekeeping & maintenance, linen laundry, EnrichedLIFE programs and activities, and van transportation.
