After being transfered a handful of times and no one communicating to myself the veteran I finally got told what happened. Rather than calling me to tell me the orthopedic doctors did not feel the need to be seen instead physical therapy the offices could not call to notify me. Other staff did not seem to care about finding a solution.

The JP VA is great! I get all my care there. The only thing I don't like is that I can't go to the dentist because I'm not 100%

They literally don't send anything on time including my meds. This is 3rd time they have me high and dry over the weekend. 3 plus days with no medication. Worst healthcare I have ever gotten hands down.

The docs here are great. I have more faith in the people that are here than those that are in practice private. I've had 2 eye operations that were very successful. I never had to wait very long to be taken, and I was comfortable the whole time. I can't say enough about OR team. From the nurses to the docs; top notch. I've also had the pleasure to be worked on in the dental department, by Dr, Dewey and her assistants. I always felt like I was in a family environment. They made sure I was comfortable and knew everything they were doing. My teeth have never been better, and they look great. I would be amiss If I didn't mention Dr. Trachman, and how awesome she's been helping me and my family. Kudos to one of the best. I've been going here for years, and I would be heart broken if they weren't there.

Entry has to be through the main doors. Ask when you are COVID screened when you get here, depending on if you are presenting for an outpatient visit or surgery.

If it is for an outpatient appointment, the current policy is that you may have 1 person accompany you, as long as neither of you are experiencing covid-19 symptoms. When you arrive and enter in the front door, there will be a desk set up for you to stop by (to answer some screening questions) and your wife will get a visitor sticker. The VA also still requires all patients, employee, and visitors to wear masks indoors.
I would check with them directly to see what their updated guidelines are but I believe they are allowing 1 individual to accompany a patient.
It's free and they have free valet parking, so you don't even have walk, and sign says please no tipping.

The main entrance is on Huntington Ave. Drive through the drop-off circle and a concierge will park your vehicle. Surgery is on the 3rd floor of the new building, which is where you will enter.

There is a very wide range of software used at the VA. The patient chart system is an in house called CPRS or Computerized Patient Record System. There are multiple packages built into the suite and externally accessed software, such as MyHealtheVet.
