I went to goodwill today, I frequent this place actually at least once a week & it’s great for home decor. I spotted a pair of Nike Jordan’s on the shelf, not the case with no tag for the price. I grabbed them thinking with some elbow grease they would be great for my son, after all, kids outgrow shoes like crazy! I finished my shopping and went to the counter letting the cashier know there wasn’t a price on them. He was friendly & let me know “ I have to go in the back and ask my manager “ he came back very quickly and told me they were $42. I was astonished considering I could buy a new pair for just 30$ more. He offered to get his manager and in true Karen form I accepted. I asked her how she got that price ( again he was back there asking less than a minute ), she was rude and just told me because they are name brand that’s how much they were. She ( I didn’t get her name and I should have ) proceeded to tell me that they have someone new doing the shoes and they were suppose to be in the case not the shelf and I responded that wasn’t my fault and I still don’t understand why they are charging $42 for a pair of dirty shoes that they got for free. The manager was unhelpful, rude, and sarcastic. I feel strongly that this place is no longer meant to help low income individuals but instead profit off of free items. Time and time again I see clothing and shoe items going for more than Burlington & TJ Maxx prices. I’ve found replica handbags being sold for upwards to 50$, it’s illegal to sell replicas in Rhode Island. It’s a shame because I enjoy coming here for home decor and hope to always find deals on clothing items and shoes here and there. Something needs to change! After reading previous reviews, it seems pricing is a huge issue here. Isn’t goodwill a “ non-profit “ and suppose to be for people who can’t otherwise afford items? Especially name brand? Do better Goodwill!

Been here a few times. Bought a brand new pair of black Timberland Pro boots for $16. And, a brand new pair of black Levi's cordoroy carpenter pants (very rare) for $8. Point being, there are great bargains to be found here. Selection is good, staff is professional and courteous. Store is seldom crowded and always clean. UPDATE: I purchased a pair of Sonos Play 1 speakers for $10. (They sell new for $500 on Amazon and used for $300 on eBay) A rare find, but enough to convince me not to dismiss the potential values at this store. SECOND UPDATE: Just bought a good-as-new Cisal Cubic kitchen faucet complete with all parts for $14.99. This faucet is imported from Italy and retails for $650 (see photo).

I used to love Goodwill though recently have been shopping at savers. Decided to give Goodwill another try and I cannot believe how expensive everything was here. $5-10 tshirts, $30 jackets, $5 books and $12 for Madden 05 on the PS2 is that a joke?

I was having a really rough day and I had a certain point when I was walking around the store I looked down and I saw a bowling ball with my grandmother‘s name on it. She had passed away a couple months ago and I had already lost three of my four grandparents so I saw it as a sign to purchase. My boyfriend also got some really great skates and now we can actually skate together in the winter. This is an amazing store and I definitely recommend it if you do not have the funds for Walmart or target items.
