Caution... Leave your abuser to submit to more abuse. This program is a bad joke! Please avoid if you really need help contact Wise. This "safe house", victimized me all over again.

At one point this place was amazing but when I needed to go back it was a nightmare, the staff allowed mental abuse by other women living in the house, also a woman had her abuser in house all night..there was also a horrible situation with having the police come several times for a male teen threatening to harm woman and children in this shelter, the amount of verbal abuse not only from women in the shelter but the staff as well was outrageous!!! I went to the top to voice my feelings although she gave me respect and listened to me felt like I didn't really matter...I will put a bullet in my head before I ever go back there....You might be lucky enough to get help, real help instead of constant ritiquel,I pray this never happens to any other woman....brown nosing gets you everywhere, this one situation the house manager fell in love with a family and that woman could tell the house manager the sky was pink and she would believe, very hurtful and sad.Alot of lies, and the stealing is out of control, when I moved out the house manager told everyone that the thief is gone..What??? I'm a good honest human being,I should have just stayed with my abuser..

I have a friend who is being physically abused by her 16 year old son and does not know what to do. He is running the house because she is afraid of him. What can she do?

I can't imagine what she's going through and I'm sure it would be gut wrenching but all I can think is contact children's services
