The management by Shannon is excellent. Honestly, the management is the highlight and probably the main reason to be here. She’s very helpful and responsive seemingly at all hours. …Anonymous User, I appreciate your kind words about me. The owners and I make taking care of residents a priority, so that’s why I’m easily accessible for questions or maintenance needs. The Heights 76107 was built in the late 1960s, so the whole property shares one water meter. If a resident has a dripping shower faucet that needs to be replaced, water to the whole building has to be turned off for about 30 minutes to do this repair. While it is an inconvenience for that period of time, the temporary water outage is a reflection of the owners making sure residents have a working shower. The same type of repairs go on monthly at most apartment complexes, it’s just our little boutique property has a shared water meter, which might make it seem like the repairs are more frequent than at other locations. As you mentioned, I communicate with residents before plumbing repairs are conducted and do my best to schedule them when most residents are away at work. We did experience a/c issues that were more challenging to repair because of pandemic supply shortages, but I am happy to report we have gotten through the hottest parts of summer 2021 without issue. We will continue to do repairs as needed because it’s the right thing to do for residents. We completely understand if you prefer a much newer apartment community with individual water meters so you are not inconvenienced by repairs, but we have many residents who renew their leases year after year because The Heights 76107 is a perfect fit for them. They enjoy the small community, the option of a private patio, plentiful covered parking that is convenient to every apartment, the quiet residential neighborhood, upgraded interiors, and the great customer service we provide. The Heights has a new owner and management as of October, 2019, and it is such a great improvement!
