I've been with this company for 3 and 1/2 years. There is no perfect company out there, but I recently had some medical issues that kept me from working, and all they need you to do is keep them updated. not saying that applies to every situation. But I have to say a special thanks to Jennifer in HR. and of course Donna who has so much responsibility on shoulders ,yet if you can talk with her you'll find she is a fair person. The dispatchers are doing there jobs get the most out of each day. I've never been talked down to as well I've never spoke rudely to them. My advice is do your job there are veterans that will help you and some that are negative. I'd say give them or any job 90 days before you decide to stay or go.

Both the tank Wash and the office staff are rude to all the outside carriers. Even the recruiter was a jerk a while back when I applied for a driver position here. I turned it down due to the bad vibes. You folks can be unprofessional to outside carriers all you want to, but good luck on ever getting any of us to drive for you!

The reality is that every company has it's ups and downs. And in a imperfect world it really bottoms down to the dispatchers working with your needs. Let's face it,sometimes we want to roll n put in miles and sometimes we have appointments and personal obligations to meet and need to be home. In my 2.5 years experience working for IRT I have to say that roughly 90 % of the time they (dispatch) work with me on trying to get me back home when I need to. And no we don't get paid for live load/unload but the ppm is respectable and for me that's good enough. I won't get mad if they give me a raise tho.lol. But really, I'm glad to be here bcuz this company has turned out to be a blessing to my family and I. Hope this was helpingful.

Hi Richard. I'm a driver manager at Indian River and very rarely go directly into New York City and its boroughs. We do however do quite a lot in NJ and yes we have loads that go up and down the I95 corridor.
Orientation is paid at $100 per day. Regional Runs are available if you live in the West, Southwest, Northeast or Midwest States. Drivers who live in the southeast will predominantly be OTR drivers, out for 14 days or more at a time. We have plenty of freight and strong miles, as well as a new pay package. Call us today! 1-855-IRT-TANK
