Someone's pet deer. Bit small enclosure but has lots of toys. Owner also has a cool slid in and International truck, personally it was even better reason to stop than the deer.

This was so sad to see walking along I street in Anchorage. This is a busy street in the middle of a city with cars zipping by constantly. This poor reindeer is living in captivity, alone, without any other pack members in an environment that is not suitable for this type of an animal. Please do something to change this practice and release this animal from captivity. This is worse than any zoo "tourist attraction" I've ever seen.

0 stars if I could! I am a visitor from the Chicago area and I am just stunned to see a beautiful reindeer in captivity in a city. I’m really upset by this and confused. What’s the benefit here? It is obvious by the many one star reviews I am not alone in my thinking. Poor Star! I am disgusted I can even write a Google review for an animal in a cage.

Absolutely disgusting. If I could give it zero stars I would. Star lives in a very small enclosure, constantly surrounded by the traffic of Anchorage. Not in any way an ideal environment for caribou to live in. He just looks visibly unhappy, and it seems as though the owners could not care less. If you want to see caribou, go to the Palmer reindeer farm or the Wildlife Conservation Center, where they truly care about the well-being of their animals.
