Visit to Clearwater Community Gardens with my school class: We had a great time. We were very well received, the kids received a briefing about gardening and were able to plant some seeds themselves. We received a watermelon and some apples and were allowed to get a taste of the honey made by the bees at the garden. The kids also received a tour around the garden. ' All in all we had a very enjoyable time and I would like to thank the staff to have us at their garden, and invite other teachers to bring their classes.. Christina Teacher

Such a cool place to hang out!! I mean where else can you go to inhale the aromatic smells of nature, eat edible plants and pet bees?!?

Neat garden, lot to see here. They even have bee hives.

Hi Dr. Pellarolo, thank you for inquiring. The initial fee to start with a plot is $165. After that the lease is $35 annually plus a $10 maintenance fee monthly, paid in advance 6 months a time. If you help maintain the gardens 1X per month, the $10 fee is waived. I believe we have one plot still available. We don't have a standard class for new gardeners (yet) but plan to develop one! :) Also, our community of gardeners is typically very generous with tips, experience and extra plants, so it's usually easy to get started. I look forward to meeting you on Monday! Best, Trevor Manager, CC Gardens
The annual fee is $35, but there is an initial $165 to lease a plot for the first time. It includes any necessary upgrades to the plot, such a refreshed or replaced soil mix, repairs to the raised bed, etc. Monthly there is a $10 maintenance fee, charged upfront for 6 months at a time. However, if you participate 1X per month in garden cleanups, the maintenance fee is waived and the $60 stays on the account indefinitely. As a community garden staffed by volunteers, we do rely on the gardeners who are leasing plots to help us keep the place maintained and the bees happy. :) Thanks for your interest, Trevor Manager, CC Gardens
