Buffet, home cooked food and a dessert bar?!?! Sign me up every time!! We opted to not bring our toddler with us for this meal and honestly they are super toddler friendly, we should have! The food smelled amazing the moment we walked in. So many options for lunch it was hard to choose. There’s no way to go in and only get one plate!! The waitress was attentive and helped keep the table cleaned off and our drinks filled to the brim. My only downfall was not going once more before we left the area. They did have a hand washing station (loved even before Covid) and a glove section before you touch the plates. This is no golden corral or ponderosa, you will not be disappointed!!

Living an hour away, we don't get to come here often. Whenever we are remotely in the area though, we do make it a point to come here and eat. A lot. Being from NC and growing up on country cooking, Fred's Market ALWAYS checks off the home cooking box for me. The pulled pork is on point, the fried chicken, tasty. Tonight they also had ribs, turkey and gravy, country fried steak and gravy, and they seem to always have crispy fried catfish. Like country veggies? They have PLENTY! They also have a salad bar, but who comes here for salad?

How a Buffet SHOULD be done! I will say, I was a little worried at first when I saw the price ($18.49 for unlimited buffet trips at time of writing), but was pleased to see options such as "veggie only", or even a single plate option for much cheaper...That being said.. Anything that you remember your grandmother cooking for you, that took all day to cook... well, its phenomenal here! Pot roast, BBQ, and collards were all cooked extremely well, making this place live up to its motto of Slow Food, Fast. Add to the phenomenal food, some of the best service I've seen in a long time, and you have the makings of a 5 Star Buffet. Well worth the stop if you're in the area.

We enjoyed the Southern experience in this small town restaurant. Our server was great. There is buffet option with plenty to choose from. They have a sink to wash hands along with gloves. We could taste the freshness. Great value for money as well. Good ambience with wonderful country music in the background. Lot of seating area and well spread out. Would love to come back!

Mask when not at your table Must wash hands and put on new gloves each time you go through the line
The main item here is the buffet which comes at two different cost depending on the amount of food that you want, there's the Blue Plate special and then the all-you-can-eat special which varies is in cost of about 3 to $4 difference. The buffet starts usually at $14.99 or $15.99
I think they are closed Christmas day but serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every other day
You have to have your mask on of course. They have you wash your hands at the washing station and then put on gloves before you serve yourself.

My wife's meal was free on July 28th on her birthday. The last time I there about a month ago the sign was still there. Your meal was free on your birthday.
I remember a place like that, same area, about 30+ years ago. I forget the name! And, yes, it was very good!
