Really nice, but not many trails or things to do inside the park unless you are playing on the river. Elkhead Reservoir is nearby and more remote with lots of trails.

Stayed at the Juniper Canyon Campground. Nice new pads, with covered picnic table and fire pit. No hookups, but clean restrooms. No other campers in early October Friday. Primarily a primitive raft or floating launch (no concrete ramp). Nice quiet night stop and dogs had plenty of room to run.

Yes they do have electrical hook ups.
Yes. They even have a hammock lender program at the park! They have them to check out! 😊
The park is open. Just no one staffing it. You're required to fill out a self-serve State Park permit on your way in. We arrived at 8pm no problem
I think they are open. Check out Reserve America and look up Tampa State park.
