Absolutely the most fun EVER. We decided to book this trip at the last minute with the in-laws and family. We had the most fun going thru the national park. It was magical. Started with Pete picking us up at our hotel. On time with a smile. Rode about 20 minutes from Steamboat. It had just snowed the night before, so we were the first there and that was the most incredible time to go. It was cold but so worth it. Listen to the guys and wear their gear especially shoes. Pete was really big on rules so as long as you follow rules, you will be safe!!! We did get to experience some beautiful scenery and learn about the history of Steamboat. Later during the ride, Pete let us open the snowmobiles up. Our son was able to drive during this time being young so he was super stoked. After we finished, we went back to the cabin, changed out of our gear and then rode the bus back to the hotel. It was one of the best things we did on our trip this year besides ski. So worth it.

This tours is only for people not familiar with snowmobiles. It is overpriced and underwhelming. The company claims on their website “ When you want to venture out on your own, we'll show you the prime spots for enjoying Steamboat's famous champagne powder.”. This is a totally false statement. They take you to an open flat meadow ringed with orange stakes and are told to stay inside them. When the guide was asked about going up a hill outside the poles, he abruptly said no stay inside. If you want to do that kind is snowmobiling hire a private guide. The sleds are governed so no fast runs. Waste of time and money.

We had a blast doing the snowmobile tour - First Track experience. Our guide, Pete, was very informative and friendly. Always felt safe and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and learning a little history about Rabbit Ears Pass and Granny's Nipple (LOL!). Would definitely recommend layering up (you won't ever be too warm). Shuttle pickup was perfect and liked the idea to have your own sled instead of doubling up. Thanks Pete for an awesome tour and we will return during or next trip and specifically request him as our tour guide.
