Nice USFS campground. For a campground listed as light usage it was quite busy in mid September. 80% full on the night we stayed. Pleasant camp host here. Water and vault toilets available and trash dumpsters. Best campfire rings I seen in a a USFS campground in a very long time! They were of the older lower and wider variety.

You can set up in any unoccupied site. It's a beautiful place to go but remember bug spray.
Drive up there, check for a vacant spot. If there is one open, please follow the instructions on the board at the entrance to the campground. If not, there are plenty of sites around. As of 08/02/2020, Rio Blanco county is in a fire restriction/fire ban. You can check the Rio Blanco county Facebook page for more information.
I don't know if my answer is relevant anymore, but there are at least rainbow trout in Chapman's. They stock fish every year but last year the reservoir was drained to kill off pike and fix a leak in the damn. So I'm told. You can check for information by asking the Finger Rock Fish Hatchery of Yampa Colorado or call Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Steamboat Springs Colorado. The reservoir is wonderfully full of water now and the fish are plenty. (Didn't catch any but seen a bunch while swimming)
