There fish tanks always have dead fish. When I ask to test the water before I purchase, the parameters are always off. The fish are always sick when I bring them home they start exhibiting fin rot and their belly’s swell. But they always want to give me a hard time about returning them a few days later. They take the opportunity to harass me about proper fish care but no one knows anything about fish when I ask them questions before buying. They are so very Knowledgeable 🙄

Horrible customer service “Ginger” was extremely combative and argumentative. Was not helpful in solving the situation in hand. Had ordered for delivery and got delivered the wrong food. Came to the store to swap the food out. She basically brushed me off and pushed me to customer service # and Doordash for some reason. I don’t care who’s fault it is. I purchased it from petco and any petco store should be able to rectify the situation instead of having a store rep brush me off and tell me i’m wrong and to go figure it out else where.

The place offers refillable cat litter that is a great product. I really appreciate them help me cut down on my plastic consumption and help the environment. They also have on site veterinary care and also provide grooming services. They have a great variety of merchandise and they are very friendly. They also have a rewards program that you can take advantage of. Only negative is the prices of on the high side

Bailey and I had a great experience at Petco. They make each pet feel very special and they did a great job grooming my dog. 🐕 They have plenty of products that can help your animal, even if that animal has special needs. The one thing I will say is it would be nice if they had a bag of treats that was not so expensive. The least expensive bag of treats was $7.99, with that said it was overall a very good experience and would recommend it to any animal lover.

JUST MASKS, HAND WASHING, & SOCIAL DISTANCING AS NORMAL.
No they don't. They have adoptions events but thats when the shelter shows up.
I work at Petco and haven't heard otherwise. Call the store 454-4956 on Sunday around 9 30. EDITED: Petco is now doing Wed and Sunday alternating. You would need to go to Vetcoclinics.com to make the appointment. Providence Petco has appointments booked quickly. I would try looking at other stores if possible.
There are some shelters that do adoption
No, apparently it’s an issue of getting certain paperwork for cockatiels because of the diseases/stuff they can carry. The only birds available here are parakeets (blue, yellow, green and all white) at $49.99 and very rarely, conures at $599.99. Check in CT and Mass Petcos or try petfinder and talk to someone rehoming theirs if you’re looking for a cockatiel.
No, occasionally they have cats from the shelter but I haven't seen that in a long time.
