First time here and from out of town, we asked to be seated in the bar for a drink and quick bite to eat. No one waited on us. We counted 14 servers and not one of them came over to ask us if we wanted a beer. Finally, many, many minutes later one of the bar keeps walked by and said you have to order from the bar. Recommend the hostess mention to those sitting in bar area to order at the bar rather than wait patiently for service at your table. Three stars because the bar looks amazing, and the pretzel was very good, though expensive.

Holy fecking heck was this place amazing. We hit Boston one afternoon for aimless wandering and around lunch time and decided to try an interesting place. I'm always down for a good Irish pub, so we decided to give The Black Rose a try. Oh. My. Gawd. Did not disappoint. We sat outside on the sidewalk since it was a gorgeous day. Our server was absolutely amazing. She checked with the bartender to see if they'd make an Irish Coffee with cold brew (yessssssss) and was super nice. We ordered a Ruben, bangers and mash, and a burger with caramelized onions. Every single bite was a freaking food orgasm. The bangers and mash was something dreams are made of. Do not pass this place by.

The Black Rose is a Boston institution and a great place to visit for locals and tourists alike. I'm ashamed to admit that despite my 15+ years of living in the Boston area, that this was my first time visiting. The good and drinks are fantastic, though, and this place lives up to the hype. There's a reason why this pub has been around for so long. The atmosphere is noisy, so if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this isn't your scene. The sausage rolls were good, but compared to the Irish Spring roll, they paled in comparison. The Irish Chicken was well-seasoned and moist, and the bangers and mash were delightful.

First of all, my husband does not like curry, but we both LOVED the chips with curry sauce. It was fantastic. My fish n chips was savory and crunchy and perfect and the shepherds pie is the ideal for a cold day. It was rich, thick and delicious. That pear margarita was on point, too. Service equaled the high quality of the food. We definitely recommend a visit!

I've never seen minors in there but the times I went were after 9pm and was 21 & up then. But even then rje kitchens not open. Just a hot dog stand outside on corner if you wanna walk out - eat a quick bite.
I'm sorry I don't know about this. I travel here on long weekends and really enjoy going here
The music is on speakers. They are waiting for live music to come back!!!
The landing, Tia's, and Joe's are across the street by the water and are quite popular.
I was there Sunday and there are none by the tables.
