This is a pretty nice gym, it's often overcrowded and there are no free weights except for dumbells (as with all planet fitness). The staff are usually friendly and the facility is clean.

This Planet Fitness has one of the rudest manager you would see. Tone and attitude toward customer was very unprofessional. Have been there to workout and was unable to allow a 17 years old to workout by himself (As a guest), asked me to leave immediately, and also threatened me that they would call the cops if I don’t. They assumed that I would not leave, when I am about the grab my item. The manager in the front also canceled the membership without my permission, he just took the pen and sign it himself. He also tries to retaliate by threatening me second time, that he was going to call the cops ( I have recorded his behavior and discrimination towards me, and was very unacceptable. In Vermont, it is legal to record as a first party.). I ask him multiple time if I can contact someone to make a complaint and he acts like he owns the place ( that I can’t make a complaint). Many people are starting to get surprised on how their service, have declined during these years. The place was rundown, bathroom was very unsanitary (Have seen hair stuck to the drain and was never cleaned for entire week), and as you would’ve imagined, it may have been caused by bad management. I used to come to the Planet fitness when I was younger, when it was located down maple street. Even then I was allowed inside alone working out, after my parents left. The ratings have decreased and have seen people disappointed of the new manager. There is a lot of improvement your gym should make to increase the customer satisfaction. ( to make this more visible to everyone). Trust me, I can feel that I was being discriminated every time I was there. Have seen so many 16-17 year old working out in the gym. But he only called out on certain people. Very unsatisfying, hope they try to value their customer more!

Absolutely one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with the manager KP. I pay for a black card membership every month due to travel and enjoying the black card perks that come with that membership. It clearly shows that I'm a black card member when I check in. Some how my member numbers don't align when I go to do red-light treatment or tan. It's an obvious glitch in the system and I've had to deal with it here before. Today I was denied access to my black card privileges I pay for. I explained I have no control over PF's membership system. The manager told me tough luck and to leave and deal with my membership on my own because he wasn't willing to discuss. Absolutely ridiculous to be treated like that as a paying customer.

Speaking with one of the staff members at planet fitness was a horrible experience. I was literally cut off and spoken to with unnecessary attitude all because I was trying to explain my conversation with another staff person about canceling service. I was very polite, and he was not professional at all. Maybe they figure since you’re canceling anyway that they can take out their aggression on you. You get what you pay for with this place. I will certainly never go there again. Kindness is a must on both ends of the conversation. I sincerely hope that this person at planet fitness in Essex Junction realizes that speaking that way to people and cutting them off is not nice and one of the first things you learn in preschool. Spread the love.♥️

I was wondering if river rd was closed as I saw equipment on pearl st when I passed
I walk past the empty desk, scan my tag, *beep* I'm all set. I need the equipment, not a person behind a desk. I'm actually going to call BS on that claim above. There's no way eight people waited and weren't helped. I spend a lot of time there; there's always someone there, if not at the desk, they're cleaning.
Hello, Jody! Thank you for reaching out to us. We are working hard to get back to offering all of the amenities that we can in our club. While we know that your fitness is essential, we also know that every other thing that comes along with that pursuit, including access to our showers, is extremely important to you. We encourage you to reach out to our management team and speak with us about what we're doing to make sure our showers and all of the other things you know and love about our Planet are going to be offered without restriction.
Thank you for reaching out, Dan! At this time, we are open and staffed 24/7! You can visit our club's page from the link below for more information: https://www.planetfitness.com/gyms/essex-junction-vt
Thank you for reaching out, Marissa. Members must be over the age of 13 to join! For members aged 13-17, the first time they come into the club, they must have a parent/guardian present to sign the membership agreement to keep in member’s file. Minors 13-15 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at every visit. Minors that sign up online must have a parent accompany them to sign their waiver at their first visit.
No swimming pool. Basic membership is $10/mo and includes access to one gym. I've been a Black Card member for a while and I would recommend getting one ($23/mo). The benefits of the black card are worth it even if you don't work out: Access to all PF locations Massage chairs Hydromassage (in south burlington) And most important: the Infrared chamber. Google the benefits.
Until Monday.
I think they are yes
You can sign up for a session with the trainer at any time, and when they're not currently working with someone they will offer plenty of advice on how to use the equipment.
