The drivers are usually courteous & professional & the mature native drivers are helpful & knowledgeable about the area, but there are very few of them.

It’s often faster just to walk a couple miles. Bus drivers are rude, I actually was just standing on the side of the road with a mask on at 7am and the Red Line operator on 8/3/2020 on Dorset Street in South Burlington and he drove right by me. I already hated this service for the last decade for terrible service and this doesn’t make it any better. Why does someone still have a job? They suck at it. Be better CCTA.

I received a bus pass recently from my work and thought I would give it a try. Why not save gas, go green, and reclaim some time to read or get work done? It was going well for a few weeks, despite the buses always running 10-15 minutes late, and then one night a bus took a detour around my approved stop on pine street, leaving me stranded in Burlington for the night. After standing there for 45 minutes like an idiot, I had to call my wife in St. Albans, who had to load up our two young children and come pick me up in town. It cost me time, money, frustration, and ruined our evening and my faith in being able to rely on this source of transit. When I called CCTA they said "we have new drivers who make mistakes sometimes, sorry." Not good enough. If you live in town, get a bike. If you have a car, you are better off driving. Sadly you just cannot rely on CCTA to show up on time or at all. It's too bad really because I like the idea of using public transportation and the drivers are very nice people.

My commute recently has put me behind a bus frequently. The exhaust smells like burning charcoal and I get a headache within a minute or so. What is with that? It is awful!
