On two separate occasions, different colleagues asked to meet here. Both times the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. The second time, we moved seats twice and nowhere worked. I finally got up & asked for the music to be turned down a bit, got a look from the too-cool server who said yes, turned it down, then turned it right back up as soon as I walked away. Any time anyone wants to meet here I say no & suggest other spots in & around downtown. I’m not going to shout at my colleagues just to be heard.

It’s not easy to find a coffee shop serving decaf drinks as good as the caffeinated versions but Muddy Waters does. I could drink the iced decaf americano all day long! Since I only drink decaf, this is my new favorite coffee shop in Burlington. As other people have noted, service is a little slow if you’re in a rush but good things are worth waiting for.

Coffee in a tree house style surrounding, who can complain? Staff is friendly, widest selection I have seen in an average coffee shop for both food or drinks. They have smoothies, kombuchas, etc. if you're not huge on coffee but want to stop by with a friend. They always have bagels from a local bagel shop as well as plenty of baked goods, fruit parfaits, soups, and more. My *only* complaint would be that they are rather slow even when not busy, so be mindful of your time if you're in a rush (but it is worth the wait!) *Note they are selective about when they allow laptops to respect other patrons' opportunity to enjoy their business as well.

the coffee shop has a great vibe and interior. staff is friendly. rating it 3 stars as there is no wi-fi (was surprised as most shops do) i normally don’t care but i am a traveler passing through and needed to get work done this day. they have a good tea selection but it’s only by the pot.
