My oncologist, Dr. Fink, is phenomenal in how he discusses care plans and follow up plans. He was sick with Covid recently and still made it a point to call me from home and check in to discuss treatment plans. He’s just been outstanding and super supportive to me and my husband. I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews for this center unfortunately, but in my experience with Dr. Fink I feel valued and cared for rather than just another dollar sign. Also, I really enjoy seeing the team who administers the infusions, you’ll get to see them so much you’ll feel like you’re just hanging with your friends. The radiologist team is great too, the sweet lady who is so patient with me when it’s time to do the CT contrast, I’m so afraid of needles and she’s so careful with me it’s painless! I just adore her. My only con is sometimes communication and follow up from other staff members is not the greatest, and things get missed when they didn’t have to.

I went there for the first time 2 weeks ago. I am very scared of the way the doctor managed my first day visit like I was a fabulous case to study. I felt so bad listening to the doctor that I don’t know , that I have no knowledge of his background ,talking to me like he was enjoying my case and expecting for the worst. That is not the way you talk to a first time patient. I did not go there for a doctor to make me feel that I am a Guinea pig good for the science. I am thinking of moving to other place like Moffit. I am even thinking of going right away and take my tests at Moffit. I will not give you the pleasure of experimenting with me.

As a patient I have never had any significant issues while at FCS. Before I started treatment Dr. Shah spent about 45 minutes with us going though everything. The nurses are hardworking and caring, hardly taking time to eat lunch and go pee. I am guessing people are complaining about waiting because the people they are waiting for are so busy helping other people. Tuesday and Thursday are the busiest days, so I recommend calling on other days. I know everyone wants to be helped immediately, but I can guarantee when I REALLY needed immediate help due to reactions to chemo, they were right there helping me. I was never treated rudely, in fact I was encouraged whenever depression or anxiety set in.
