A beautiful, expertly maintained, and charming B&B in the lovely foothills of several PA State Parks. The breakfast baskets were delicious and had plentiful options, including mid morning snacks. While we did not meet the owners, we felt most welcome while enjoying the privacy. We checked out after 2 nights' stay and continued on our journey. We went on to stay at a "premier" resort in eastern PA and were astoundingly disappointed--we wished we could have remained at Cherry Mills! Cherry Mills Lodge absolutely delivered!

This B&B is so well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in room 'A' which has two separate rooms with a sliding barn door to separate them. The living room has a fireplace and sitting area that overlooks the creek. The grounds are also very well maintained with some swings, sitting benches and an outdoor firepit. The breakfast was very tasty and filling with a warm egg item (we had a croissant one day and egg and bacon cup the next), with juice, baked bread, trailmix, granola and similar items delivered daily outside our room. Keurig is in your room with plenty of coffee. The only thing I would point out is that there is no TV in your room or in the common areas of the lodge. It didn't matter to us so much because it was just peaceful to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature all around. The free wifi however would make up for this if you wanted to connect with news, or possibly stream shows. I would also agree with Jeremy D who posted that the owners were not particularly outgoing. They did not make an attempt to converse with us during our stay there. We did have to ask them for a log for the room because it was not automatically provided and they did tell us how/where to get more coffee during our stay.

Beautiful home, it is in the middle of nowhere, which is great. It's nice that you can put a fire outside and also set out on the 2nd floor balcony. The facility was clean and the rooms were large. We met a very nice couple and spent a lot of time talking to them. Two areas for improvement. New towels or a better detergent is needed. If I went again; I would take my own. They smelt almost like they weren't washed. Not a deal breaker; I'd just take my own. Second, the owners seemed agitated by us being there. They were standoffish when we arrived. They didn't say a word to us the entire time. They did talk to the other couple there. Maybe they didn't like something about us. I don't know.

This is a quaint family run Bed and Breakfast. Brenda is really sweet and is very accommodating to her guest. Her husband also I very kind and sweet. Met him when he was adding wood to our fire and he took the time to talk to us and answer our questions on the history of the house. We had a pleasant conversation. The breakfast was yummy, and their homemade strawberry preserves was so delicious. We love the area and will be going back with friends now and we filled the whole B&B with our friends. Can't wait to spend two nights here againππ»

A little over 100 miles. It would take you about 2 hours or so travel time.
