If you are visiting Winter Garden, this is a most stop. Even though is a small building, they have a great collection of railroad memorabilia from the Central Floridia area, plus a video room dedicated to explaining the history related to it. The persons working the day we went were really great answering all the questions we had and their interactions with everyone was awesome. We really loved it.

Cool little museum with a lot of old train parts and memorabilia. Free on the day we visited but maybe all the time? Dave the attendant was knowledgeable of many old facts just ask him!

There is so much local train history in one place! The place looks unassuming when just passing by, but the second you walk inside, you are surrounded by so much! It is very well organized & categorized, they also have so many pictures & artifacts from the past (it's mind boggling how much iron was used in even the simplist items!). They are very child friendly, and the curators & staff are so knowledgeable and helpful! They possess so much information and are happy to share it. It's definitely worth the time to drop by!

Really Cute...Lots of tools, pictures, memorabilia, books and onboard artifacts...it's interesting. Reading the informational signs is key. A lot packed in to three rooms...one being somewhat larger than the other two. Set in a quaint, pretty, well kept section of historical Winter Garden. Plan on an hour-two and bring your reading glasses.

Yes, there is a small one. It's worth a visit. There is also a full size caboose outside of the heritage museum down the road.
Good morning and thanks for your inquiry. We accept donated items, such as yours, though we are not able to purchase them. Thanks.
The museum is currently closed, with an estimated reopening sometime in September. I'd say that we are worth the trip, once we reopen to the public!
They do have some model railroad items for sale but it's not a major focus of the exhibit and it's a limited selection.
No
Unfortunately there are a set of steps into the upper level. The lower level is wheelchair accessible.
