I come here with my 12 year old and 3 year old. I am always able to use a computer. This library is usually always quiet. Staff is usually very helpful and cordial.

I don't really appreciate the carpeting, I guess I feel its more hygienic to use floors. The staff sort of feels as if they have the right to scold children that aren't theirs but, I guess that's because its mostly seniors. Over all, I've seen better libraries.

We are able to fulfill Hold requests to Books By Mail, if you visit our catalog at https://www.cityofbartow.net/library and search for title and author there. When you find what interests you, click on the Request Hold option and log in with your library card barcode and your PIN number, and then select pickup option for Books By Mail.

As of now, our library's study rooms are not available to the public due to social distancing restrictions. You may be able to meet at the study tables on the floor, but must abide by those distancing rules and wear appropriate protective masks while inside. The library does provide a list of available local tutors at our Info Desk, but you would need to call and coordinate with them directly.
