My dogs do not like going to the vet, which I'm sure most animals do not like it either. But the last visit was very stressful on my big girl. We waited over 15 minutes for someone to come take her to the back. In that time, she hurt her legs sliding on the tile floor trying to get out. This is unacceptable.

While the vet is always willing to listen and help. Even with an appointment, it will take all day.your always made to feel like your pet isn't important and their are more important pets. I don't think that's necessarily the vets, nurses or receptionist fault. It's the fact that this is corporate ran & they schedule someone every half hour. Once you are finally able to talk to the vet. They are able to address the reason you came.

Had an appointment for sept 25th according to the girl I was on the phone with, didn’t catch her name. Marked it in my calendar etc. I got there and the (very rude and dismissive) girl behind the counter told me it wasn’t scheduled. Didn’t even look at me while talking to me, claimed she “took care of people not animals” I laughed out loud. Maybe communicate scheduling and appointments if that’s the case. Go to the beach or kernan location if you want real care for your pets, these people are just doing it for a paycheck. Edit: I have no choice but to refill my prescription for trifexis at this location because it’s the only one I can get to before they close during the week, now I’m being told their entire staff has been “wrongly” giving me my medication because it’s not my primary location. Never heard such a thing, I’ve gone to oak-leaf, Kernan and beach, and this is the only location I’ve had such problems. When expressing my concern I got hung up on.

I enjoyed this place when Dr.Buzzard was the vet, she treated my babies with the most love and care we could have asked for. Even when my old cat was getting sick. She was the one I knew I could lean on, along with the staff. Sadly she has left the practice, and Dr.Corrales has taken over. I have not been impressed with him thus far. He advised that I put my 13 year old cat, who was heartworm positive and blind through surgery to remove a tumor, when every other vet I had spoken to STRONGLY advised against doing it. We opted to not do it, because we knew he wouldn't survive the procedure. We had my cat put down before Dr.B left, because she was the one I trusted MOST to handle it. We have gone back once since then to get our dogs teeth cleaned, and again I wasn't too impressed with Dr.Corrales, he had already left quite and impression on me, my husband and I have limited taking the animals in unless they absolutely have to go. We are searching at this time for other providers, and a better option in a "wellness plan" as we have had nothing but issues since we put our cat to sleep.

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
Depending on the severity of your pets illness or injury. This is what determines if it falls into an emergency in which they do a nice with catering to your pets needs.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
