Annual immunization appointment turns into a disaster! I have a dog that has health conditions and requires special handling. When my wife & our dog’s full time care taker arrived for Samson’s appointment they were told the staff was taking our dog to a private room to be seen by the Vet. Keep in mind we have given clear instructions that our dog is not to be away from our side for long periods of time & he is better waiting in our vehicle equipment for his needs. After 2 hrs and putting our dog in an unclean kennel we get our dog back in complete distress & in horrible condition. The actions of this clinic has presented new health challenges for our dog. We’re very displeased with how our visit was handled.

I absolutely love taking my Foxy to this Banfield. The staff is always attentive, helpful and courteous. The Vet always informed me of how visit went and what I need to do for follow up if necessary. I have been to other Banfield's but this is my go to!!

I am very disappointed with the customer service I am receiving at the Beach and Kernan location in Jacksonville. The staff is not working collaboratively and information is being dropped, even though I am told things will be taken care of when I am on the phone with the office staff. The Dr. implied I am not administering her prescribed medication correctly because of the dates of the refills. I know that I requested the med to be refilled one time a bit early and the the next time I called for it and it was on hand but I picked it up at a later date. This time the office staff did not tell the Dr. that I requested the medication at all when I made an appointment for her to be seen for a check-up. I am on the Banfield program for my dog's care which I pay for monthly. I am not going to the location to be disciplined or blamed. I would appreciate the staff getting on the "same sheet of music" and not lay blame on customers. I don't know about how others care for their pets, but I know it is not fair for anyone to assume that I am not trying to do my best.

First and last experience with this location! The only bright note I can say is whomever Morgan is, I do appreciate her kindness and seems to be a very nice person to have for communication with clients. As for banfeild and their operations and internal communications I would have to say this was an absolute failure which left me with a bill of over $500 dollars. The appointment was made via their website and the point of concern was written for a routine Cytopoint shot which my dog has received for more than 6 years. From the beginning I explained they had an old phone number and not only did I vocalize to not call I physically scratched out the incorrect number and wrote the correct number twice and also mentioned my phone number again before I left. As do any visit to a vet they ask if there is anything going on other than the direct need which I did state he may have seemed under the weather the last couple of days. At this point this would be the 3rd person to communicate with about why the dogs are here even tho everything was typed online when the appt was made. I could go thru step by step of all the people and all the communications that we made but that would be a novel. However the main point of frustration would be they didn’t even address the reason he was brought in and they attempted to blame it on calling the wrong number as if that were my fault. This location has an issue with internal structure and it is costing you as the consumer. When you have 5 or 6 people speaking with you over a couple of hours there will most definitely be an issue of miscommunication or lost communications. I will forfeit my business with banfield and recommend others to do the same and find yourself a smaller clinic that will undoubtedly have lower cost and clearer communications with the only loss of online convenience.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 2, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
