Great place!!! I will go to this gem of a library always!!! My daughter told me about this library and I love the positive vibes this place gives!!! The staff was awesome and helped me get what I needed. They went above and beyond!!! Even the people that go there were awesome!!! I had the honor of witnessing someone pay something for someone else they did not know and just said "pay it forward ". I have not seen this generosity in a long while!!! I will continue going here!!!

It's a small library that is fully equipped & all of the staff are so helpful. Great atmosphere.

The staff here is amazing and always helpful! They are a smaller library but they utilize their space in a way that makes it seem pretty big! My daughter loves going here the only thing I would change would be doors for the children's books area. They seem to have quite a bit to offer the community; between Lego play, adult coloring, family movie day, circle time, friends of the library, etc... they even have computer classes! I am very impressed with our small town library!

The Lake Alfred Public Library - Edwin Moore Memorial is a small town library with a very friendly atmosphere. They offer everything from printing, envelopes & stamps, to computer usage, free wifi & movies. The women working there are very kind & helpful & will go out of their way to get whatever you need. They don't have the book you want in stock? They'll order it from another library (or even another county!) & have it delivered right to your home! You are having trouble with the computer? Just ask! They'll gladly help if they are able. Need TONS of stuff printed??? Great! They'll even be patient while you take up loads of their time. They are cheaper than Staples for printing (15c for black & white copies) & faxing (25c per document - not per page!). There are numerous programs for children - an after school craft on Mondays & a Storytime on Wednesday mornings, as well as a jewelry class with instruction for those interested, a free computer class taught by the Lake Alfred mayor, Charlie Lake, the Mobile Career Source of Polk County stops by once per month & the SPCA sets up in the parking lot once per month as well. The Lake Alfred Friends of the Library have a used book store located inside the library that's open on Saturdays & they have a "STUFF A BAG" book sale once per month that's an awesome deal! I truly don't understand the 1-star review of this library. I would go out of my way to frequent this location as the women working there really understand the meaning of the words "customer service." I haven't been treated like that at the other libraries in the area, for sure.
