The place has been around for like 60 years. The overall condition of the swim club actually has greatly improved even considering the Pandemic. It’s season is from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours are decent from about noon - 8pm. The owners are looking to do extended year activities for members and in community. Does have one Harford Park community “open swim” day. Maybe 🤔 another would be nice during season or occasional “Weekly or Biweekly” passes would be cool. Some Folks are not available for the entire season. If folks get a chance to experience the club, and even if want to join later in season have a graduated membership. Scheduling doesn’t always afford people swimming all 8 weeks. Maybe 4, 6, or 8 week season memberships. The overall grounds itself have seen reinvestment and are cut and mowed. The pool was painted and some large palm trees 🌴 added this year. Lifeguards are not an issue and most return yearly. It is a little hard to see and you could drive by coming down the hill on the Hillcrest side if coming too fast, as the hedges on Queen Anne are the only real detraction and obstruct the view. Parking is temporarily limited currently, as the county is doing restoration to Herring Run Creek which runs alongside the pool club. There is on street parking, but occasionally it gets busy. The current stream restoration did reduce the number of trees and some of the shade so you might want to bring and extra umbrella or simple tent for now. However, the county promises to replant trees and spruce the perimeter along the creek when they are done and repave the lot. All these things I’ve heard. What would be cool in the future is looking into a couple covered small pavilions like some parks have. They could be steel as to be easily maintained and repeated on occasion while trees grow back They do offer lessons. Some seasons they have had swim meets and what appeared to be summer camp/school swimming before the pandemic. If I was to look into a pool club for the 2022 pool season there are more reasons to join than not, if it’s in your budget.

We purchased Groupon passes. We had a great time.

Nice neighborhood swim club with older, but well appointed club house. Pool is well laid out for recreational swimming, and can accommodate competitions by using a mid-pool caisson. My only gripe is that they don't have starting blocks, and that makes achieving invitational meet qualifying times a little more challenging.

Friendly staff and clean pool but snack bar staff does not keep good sanitation practices. The same person that collected our money also prepared our food without washing her hands or using gloves. The service is also very slow. We waited in line for 30 minutes to order, and waited an additional 15 minutes for our food (and these unsanitary practices continued, BTW).

Yes. I will pay dues annually sometime by March, 2021. They may take payment on a daily basis. You'd have to check with them.
