Have been trying to rent here since August. My two friends lived in a one bedroom, and their family member lived across the hall in a two bedroom. Multiple times over the months we reached out to the company to see if things could be arranged so we could switch apartments and I could get onto the lease and the three of us into the two bedroom. TLDR: Do not rent here. Price gougers, liars. Take ages to come "fix" issues. Over the months not only did we: -Not get answers. -They took 5 months to come and fix a broken washer and dryer. -They took almost a year to come and fix several fire alarms. -During the last few months staying at the apartment, they were constantly harassed by Plant City Rental employees with rude attitudes and lies. Either people working for PCR or a part of PCR knocked on their door several times without warning only to make rude demands. Not to mention staff lied and claimed they had been "attempting to reach" my friend when no such phone calls were EVER made to the number in question that WAS in service. -Additionally, my friend wrote a review about his poor experiences and the employees at PCR TRACKED HIS NUMBER DOWN based off circumstances in the review and MADE HIM CHANGE IT. -After "reassuring" us the apartment would be ready for us to move in after it was prepped, they put it up for an insane $200 price increase. -Having seen/visited these apartments personally, I know the one bedroom is currently listed at $725 a month, and the 2 bedroom was at $800. They are NOT worth the INSANE price gouging scams they are at now. No way should that two bedroom apartment be worth $1,050, considering the second bedroom is the size of a walk-in closet. -The lease for my friends' apartment ran out in October. For MONTHS we were trying incredibly hard to get a new one written up where we could finally do the apartment switch. Not a single time has ANY Plant City Rental employee tried to get my friends to sign a new lease, nor have they even tried to contact us/help us switch over. Instead, they put in new carpets and raised the rent across the hall. As far as I am aware, not a single other person in the apartment complex had a new lease written for them as well. Some of these tenants have been living here for years! They spoke very highly of Plant City Rentals originally, but now are being faced with horrible attitudes, bad customer service, and harassment themselves. -Price gouging during a pandemic. I really should not have to elaborate on this, but as mentioned above, these apartments are not the greatest quality. On top of that, COVID is doing nothing but causing sickness, job loss, and overall struggle. To take a poor quality apartment, shove new carpets in, and then raise the price of monthly rent by $200 as if it was brand new? Absolutely disgusting behavior. Ron Jon of Plant City Rentals should be ASHAMED of himself. All of this is from the perspective of somebody who has been wanting to move into a PCR owned property for half a year now. After seeing everything they have been putting my friends through, I urge anyone who has been trying to decide whether or not to rent from PCR to LEAVE WHILE YOU STILL CAN! Overall, the properties are of poor quality and staff take months to come out and REALLY fix issues, not just slap a bandaid on it for a temporary fix. The administration of PCR is highly unprofessional, harassing tenants themselves and allowing people they hire to harass tenants. They are also liars who will say anything to try and keep you feeling stupid - my friend had been contacting them about their COMPLETELY BROKEN washer and dryer for months. It was only fixed when my friend - after months of trying to get things sorted - wrote an email demanding it be fixed as it was a lease violation, as the apartment was guaranteed its own washer and dryer. Vanessa claimed that they tried to contact my friend and that he never answered the phone, however, the phone in question was still in service and being used and over the months PCR did not make a SINGLE attempt to call. Do not rent here.

Crooks and scam artist is the only way to describe this Rental management! Vanessa is so unprofessional its disgusting! She had me pay a total of $100.00 for an application fee for my husband and myself but never ran our credit or rental history. We know this because we have alerts on our social that notifies us immediately when our credit is pulled. After 3 days of dodging my calls she had the audacity to say that they decided to go with another applicant that had better income... Reported them to the better business bureau not because we didn’t get the place but because they are robbing innocent people blind! I used another rental company in Lakeland and got approved for a house within 48 hours! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS OR REFER ANYONE TO THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! Please use caution!

Worst place in history to do business with they will kick you out of the home if you are even a week late starting with harrasment letters stating they are going to evict you mind you the rent is only a week late.Stay Far Away from this place or any place they rent.they do not care about their tenants they say their job is not to care but to collect! Very shady people took all the money I have to offer and still went ahead and started the eviction even when they know I just lost my job and had a newborn baby in the house.this is the worst experience I have ever had in any place ever! The house has mold in between the walls and the house is falling apart they don't care about it they just want their rent.the place is a joke think twice about doing business with these shady characters they will tell you " we sleep good at night"
