I have taken several items to Wayne for repair over the years. He fixed up my Fender Vibrolux Amp to gig ready. Wayne also repaired my vintage Pioneer SX60 stereo and most recently did a fabulous job restoring My vintage Bang and Olufsen turntable. I have found Wayne to be always expert, fair and honest. No, the TVs are made to collect dust electricity attracts it..Use soft memory cloth to clean screen. It will be fine. Have a blessed day Wayne @ Irions

If the screen is bad replace as a new screen will cost well over replacement Wayne @ Irions
To be honest with you, due to age and cost of new 52" and NEW part availability, I would tend to consider just replacing.As it is older technology . But keep in mind I have not checked it. Some of those sets are long lasting as compared to newer sets. Call for more info if you want to proceed 727-446-7955
