I am not quite sure why they have a separate designation for what is essentially Siesta Key Beach. I like the north end of the beach because it's usually less crowded in the off season and it's a shorter walk from the parking lot. The down side, it's further from the facilities, but no matter where you are the same cool white sand, royal terns, pelicans, and warm, shallow surf await you.

Siesta key Beach is hands down the best beach in the United States. The sand is quartz based mineral sand and is white and feels like cool powdered sugar even in the brightest and hottest part of the day. We saw dolphins 🐬 playing at barley 100 yards away from us in the water and every day at this beach has been a truly magical experience and makes us long to just move here and live forever.
