Grace Van Oden was very unprofessional. We had an appointment and while we were 10 minutes late, I told Grace that we would be late and she said it was fine. We walked in and Grace was on the phone, she completely disregarded us and stayed on the phone for 20+ minutes. I have no problem waiting but 20+ minutes while she explained every detail to a person looking to possibly build who has no land, plans or lending available was ridiculous. We have plans, we have lending, have a piece of land with the site work done and well plus electric already there. You would think her time would be spent helping a serious customer who is building an almost million dollar home over someone just possibly looking to build. Plus we had an appointment, we ended up just leaving because the phone conversation didn’t seem to be ending and she never acknowledged our presence. Maybe Southern Valley Homes needs to get a better new home specialist.

I found Southern Valley Homes in a Google search while trying to find a new construction option for my mother to move closer to our family after another Big Name Builder changed the story on her while she was trying to get under contract. Southern Valley has been so fantastic every step of the way. Grace Van Orden, the new home specialist, is an absolute rockstar. She is so knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions (a LOT of questions). The quality of the materials is really nice, way better than builder grade stuff you see in most new construction homes. Their lender recommendations have been stellar as well. Most importantly, my mom is happy. I definitely recommend Southern Valley Homes.

They were very professional and Courtney was very responsive to my emails before and after my visit. I met with Grace and she was awesome and very responsive to my emails after my visit and made sure I understood everything that I forgot to ask at the initial visit. I can't wait to get started.

We chose not to build at this time due to personal reasons, but our interactions with Southern Valley were nothing short of amazing. They were polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have a wide variety of floor plans that can fit any need. Their prices are more than reasonable, especially considering everything that is included. If we do build in the future, Southern Valley would definitely be one of our top choices!
