Nice friendly bar and dining room. Good beer selection and great deal on steamed shrimp. Unfortunately, I found the oyster stew bland, but to be fair, I think only the town of Apalachicola in Florida knows how to make it properly.

I’m sorry to rate them this low because I have had 2 not so good experiences in a row. We were there this Saturday and the waitress was young and just seemed like she had no clue or just oblivious with serving. We ordered the 3 lbs of crabs special for $130. 2 Crab bisques (that she told us she had), a coffee and water. The table had no napkins, utensils, salt or pepper and I got up and grabbed them since she was gone for a while. The coffee had so much floating black murk that it looked like mold and we told her and sent it back with the waitress - she was just oblivious. The soup arrived. It was seafood bisque and not crab bisque and I dislike clams and scallops and my father can’t chew them. Once I brought it to her attention she agreed that we got crab bisque…. I corrected her and she said again, yes, it’s the same soup crab and seafood bisque. The waitress didn’t even know the difference between crab bisque and seafood bisque. She then thanked me for explaining the difference though. Crabs were good. Once in a while one was salty and a little fishy but good. Total was apx $160 plus tip as she didn’t take off the soups. It was not worth the money or trip.

So when here with my family for myself and somebody else’s birthday party.I’m not a big seafood person but I know everybody else’s like seafood one of my party members ordered clams which had a live worm in it. The waitress was very nice and staff was friendly but was very disappointed with the food. For the price I would not recommend this location. Glad I got to try it but will never return.
