For me, this is as close to perfect as a bookstore can get: inviting atmosphere, diverse and abundant selection of staff picks and recommendations, friendly staff, and a well crafted selection of books you’ve probably heard of alongside exciting ones you haven’t yet. One of the joys of being a reader is perusing the shelves and discovering your next adventure—Flyleaf facilitates that joy exceptionally well :)

Flyleaf books is a fantastic independent bookstore in Chapel Hill. I highly recommend for their wide selection of great books and helpful staff. Their store is easy to navigate with large labels for the different sections.

This is my favorite place to browse (and nowadays practically the only way to be exposed to books you're not actively searching for). They have a good selection, staff reviews of books, and host all sorts of special events. (Not to detract from Flyleaf, but McIntyre's is also good. I'm a big fan of independent bookstores.)

A very cool Indy book store with a nice little used books section. Really great selection.

To enter the store: 1) Proper mask worn properly 2) must use hand sanitizer to enter (touchless dispenser just inside door) 3) gloves provided but are optional 4) There is a 12 person limit (legal capacity is 300) at any one time. Children are asked to stay with their adults 5) kids 2+ must wear masks 6) staff member is assigned to enforce browsing rules. We are happy to help you through the door- you do not have to come in. Touchless curbside pickup available. All staff wear quality masks, worn properly. Sanitize between helping customers. Multiple sanitizer dispensers available to staff and customers. All staff are due to be fully vaccinated by end of April.
Yes. They have a nice selection of both.
They do but in limited quantities and some times they suspend their purchase of used books. Call first.
You need to contact them directly for this.
I would check Flyleaf's website and contact the store directly. Otherwise the PTA Thrift Store takes books as donations.
I would check out the website for Flyleaf and ask them via email or phone. Questions on Google are not sent directly to the vendors who are listed.
Flyleaf sells through Indiebound, but the person on the phone wasn't aware of Indybooks. She stated that, if it's associated with Amazon, Flyleaf isn't interested.
Yes, two monthly open mics. One for traditional poetry and another for spoken word performance. check out the calendar on the website
