This is a clean, well run facility that provides a home-like environment for the residents. The residents needs are constantly being assessed by the staff and each one has an individual plan of care developed by the staff. I don't hesitate to recommend this assisted care facility.

As a close family friend and I am leaving a review as I am outraged and shocked by the way the situation was handled and by the responses from the owner. As a healthcare worker who has experience working in the field and the needs of those living in board and care, assited living facilities and SNF ( skilled nursing facility), the level of excuses given as to why proper care could not be provided on their behalf and blaming everything on hospice and the family is appalling. If you were not equipped to handle the level of care necessary for your resident then why accept them back into your facility ? Other than to fill up a space that you can charge for. The moment you realized her G-TUBE wasn’t functioning properly, why would you or anyone else in your facility attempt to “fix” it? Are you all trained in how to fix a clogged G-tube, are you a GI specialist? I didn’t think so. How about contacting the family or Hopsice immediately so the problem could be resolved by someone who knows what they’re doing. That doesn’t sound like a “ safe or healthy environment” is being provided, as you said you do. The statements responding to the family are callous and unprofessional. Especially stating that she was on TPN and in the ICU… who told you that? Stop posting incorrect information to make yourself look better, you aren’t absolving yourself of anything. Unfortunately people pass away regardless of our efforts but I’ve never seen such a response as to blame Hopsice equipment or the family. I am so disgusted by these words and actions, I will tell everyone I know to avoid peppertree like the plague!

PepperTree has the most professionally run atmosphere I’ve witnessed in an RCFE I’ve been in the industry for almost a decade and seen a lot! This assisted living home, because of Stephanie and her staff, is a jewel. They uphold the highest standards. The entire staff is well trained and conscientious. I’ve been to the home many times and at all hours of the day and night for various reasons. Each time I’m present I see focused attention and sincere compassion for the residents living there. I also read ongoing reviews and compliments sent directly from families - past and present…each one gives PepperTree a Gold Star ⭐️. PepperTree is spotless and super cozy. In addition to exemplary staff involvement PepperTree has the gift of spacious outdoor decks and walkways equipped with comfortable tables, benches and chairs throughout. If you’re a gardener you’d be jealous of the workable gardens and flower beds that surround the landscape area. All of this provides safe and healthy social interaction for family and friends to enjoy with their loved ones. The overall environment is comfortable and welcoming. Residents are safe, cared for and catered to. I pray that one day my own mother might be privy to enjoy such a stimulating happy home.

This is a place where you need to be high functioning. If you’re looking for a room, a distracted babysitter, and 3 meals a day then you’ll be ok. But that’s where the care ends based off of my experience. Pepper Tree took my Grandma into their care knowing that she was on hospice. They also knew that their staff was incapable of taking care of a hospice patient without completely relying on hospice itself to come the facility every day. Certain staff members at Pepper Tree were very cold, unreliable, and had my family not have stayed with her during her last couple of days, I’m convinced they would’ve left my dying grandmother alone for hours on end. They make you feel like all they care about is filling a room and making money. I pray that no one has to go through the stress and havoc of what my family did during my Grandma’s last days. The owner was out of town and not responsive during her last days, only communicating through text message and brief phone calls when it was convenient for her. They told us to hire one of their off-duty employees (and pay her hourly) to ensure that someone could check on her every hour and then also sent us a bill for a finders fee for $8000 a week after my Grandma passed away. I could go into a lot more detail about what my family went through, so please reach out if you want more information. If you want support, assurance, and great care during someone’s last days, do not come here. Considering most people who go into this housing situation will eventually need high- level care, this place didn’t provide anything more than a room for my Grandma during her last days.
