Had a 9 AM appointment with DR. FIROOZMAND. I arrive at 8:50 so that I could be early for my 9 AM appointment. I sat in the lobby for 45 minutes unseen. No one even acknowledge that I had been waiting for 45 minutes to see the doctor it was horrible and I will not return.

If you’re looking for a Colorectal Surgeon in Los Angeles, you’re in good hands with Los Angeles Colon & Rectal. I was referred to Dr. Firoozm and by my primary care doctor and was very pleased with their professionalism and expert treatment. Thank you!

Dr. Hoffman was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I never felt like the appointments were rushed compared to so many other doctors in Los Angeles. It's clear he and his staff of nurses care about their patients. Highly Recommend Dr. Hoffman as your Colorectal Surgeon.

What a racket. This health care provider is full of scam artists. They tried billing my insurance $72,623 for a routine outpatient service! I was initially quoted by LA Colon - Dr. Gary Hoffman - that the all in cost for the surgery would be "less than $600 out of pocket". There were no complications or extra services rendered during the procedure. I was forced by LA Colon to reach out to each "service provider" to receive quotes for the total cost. Side note, the fact that my insurance and I would be giving LA Colon thousands of dollars for this procedure and they couldn't even spend 5 minutes putting together a formal "all-in" quote is insane and a huge red flag. I should have left their office immediately. When I contacted La Peer (the surgery center), they told me their service fee was "$340.20". I made this payment at the surgery center the day of my procedure. I was then billed a further $68 by their pharmacy when I left, for painkillers - again was not included in all the quotes I had received. A month later, I received another bill for $170 for unknown costs. Literally, the invoice just said "Balance Due - $170.00". I went ahead and paid it figuring it was a remaining balance. I should have been more diligent, but healthcare is trash in America and I wasn't shocked to receive a surprise bill. THEN another month later I received AN ADDITIONAL $102.80 bill from La Peer - W.T.F. This doesn't include the other $40, $40, $167.65, $161.00 I've paid out to LA Colon. What was supposed to be a "less than $600" outpatient procedure has cost me $987, plus a $102.80 outstanding collections notice. Find another provider for your procedure! There are literally hundreds in LA County, don't let yourself be taken advantage of. La Peer, LA Colon, and Dr. Gary Hoffman are crooks!

There are several types of treatments for hemorrhoids, and knowing which will best benefit you can only be determined by your doctor. Non-surgical medical alternatives are generally prescribed initially to help treat the hemorrhoidal symptoms. These treatment options include ointments, oral pain medications, suppositories, local anesthetics and stool softeners.
Some of the specific advantages for patients who undergo minimally invasive procedures as compared to open procedures include: decreased need for postoperative pain medications, shorter hospital stays, quicker recovery and return to daily activities, less postoperative pain, and improved cosmetic results.
Even in today’s high-tech medical world, the words “robot” and “surgery” do not seem to fit together. But in fact, they do now. Thanks to recent advances in the field of robotics and mechanical programming technology, colorectal surgeons are now able to seamlessly combine the use of high-tech robotic machines with minimally invasive operative procedures, by using small incisions, miniature wristed instruments and high definition, stereoscopic cameras. The procedure is then performed by the surgeon seated comfortably at a console, and a surgical first assistant at the patient’s side. The system is a passive system, moving only under the direct guidance of the surgeons. This a huge step forward in medical and surgical technology.
