He has a thorough approach that includes not just reviewing the results of MRI's, X-rays etc., but he also digs deeper into your lifestyle and diet. Dr. Melamed has operated on my spine 3 times, most recently when I had a neck injury and lost the use of my right hand. The attached photo is of the hardware Dr. Melamed inserted in my neck and spine during a 6.5 hour surgery, where he returned the use of my right hand to me. I keep returning to Dr. Melamed for my spine surgery needs because of his superior knowledge of the spine, his commitment to the healing of his patients, his hard driving excellence in the operating room, and his sheer love for his profession. I would never trust my spine to any other surgeon.

Dr. Melamed has changed my life. I’m so fortunate to have found him and his amazing staff. My surgery was back in November 2021 and I will admit it was tough coming home and dealing with residual pain. But that’s in the past now. My life prior to Dr. Melamed was difficult at best and it’s hard to explain to people what it’s really like waking up in pain and going to sleep in pain. As of now that pain is over. Believe me that it’s a huge decision having surgery. I’ve had lot’s of surgeries knees,shoulders,hernia and previous back surgeries. This was a difficult decision but I was absolutely confident in Dr. Melamed’s ability and dedication to make a difference in my life. I’ve been to lots of orthopedic surgeons and lots of other doctors. Believe me that it’s rare to find someone as dedicated as this man is. It’s been 3+ months and I’ve been going to physical therapy to get my flexibility back and I’m confident that I will. But I can’t tell you how before my surgery and dealing with bleeding ulcers from pain medication and pain. I was convinced that my life was over and I had, had it. I cannot emphasize that enough. I’m now encouraged about my future. Thanks again Dr. you have changed my entire life. I’am forever in your debt. I have never experienced how you and your office staff followed up with everything that was needed for me to make all of this happen.
