They're more concerned about COVID than taking care of Vets. Nuff sed.

I’ve only been a veteran for about 9 months but so far I’m very displeased with the VA. I get it it’s free healthcare so you’re not going to get the best of the best. But it’s extremely difficult to start mental health treatment unless you go straight to the hospital! Also had a lot of problems with the pharmacy not sending meds for awhile without communication, and now they send me meds I’ve said I don’t need and still charging me! It’s very difficult to call for any kind of appointment, case manager, etc as they like to not answer the phone! I have filed claims months ago as well and haven’t heard anything back at all. The doctors don’t listen and some of the staff can be quite rude. (Not all of them, but every one of them should be at least kind) It’s just so disheartening to have gone through hell in the marine corps for years being told the health care would be worth it, just to find out it sucks! Seriously considering just paying for my own and going to different clinics.

Loma Linda ACC Woman's Health has no urgent care so women Veterans don't have any problems you're out of luck. I'm sorry... a grown woman Vet should not be forced to get a referral to be seen. I think by their stage in life they know their own bodies. You don't even need that on active duty, let alone any private insurance. Now after referral while 4 VA staff ladies sit chit chatting behind a locked unmarked (Cardiology) door. One of which (the only one that can schedule) is on a private personal call about where she wants to move to after retirement....vet is told sorry you'll have to wait at least two weeks and even then private call lady will call you later to schedule. Wait...what? SMH No call ever came. One lady deserves mention and was kind enough to try at least(3 rd seat in).

Behavioral health services here are a joke. The NP I saw could not have cared less about me. It was nothing more than a "check the box" interview. The follow-up was even worse. It was like she had no idea who I was and didn't even review my chart beforehand. Do not see Michelle Pinckney!

If you a veteran, you can get care in the VA
Give them a call the number is 909-8255-7084 They should be able to help you there
At the main facility on Benton there is. Not the Redlands building. That is primary care only.
Depends on his disability. Check with main VA hospital on Benton.
No, but you can however do a walk-in to your assigned clinic. But there is no clinic dedicated to walk-ins. If urgent, best to go to the ER at the VA. If you do not know your assigned clinic, anyone at a check-in counter can look that info up for you.
For the VA Card, you need to go to tge enrollment department. If already enrolled, just ask for a replacement card, if not enrolled, bring gov issued id, dd214 and service id number (normally on the dd214) and might be your SSN depending on which years you served. The enrollment office is at the Main Hospital in Benton. Not sure if you can get id cards at Redlands. If you are looking for Military ID related to your service, you need to go to the ID card section of a military installation with your letter stating eligibility and the doc required (stated on letter). You can get that letter online through ebenifits.gov. Pretty sure it is valid government id, dd214 and letter. Reserve and National Guard ID card sections can issue the military id's. They usually require an appointment.
No, it just opened.
Go to myhealthvet and you can send them a secure message. They will respond back.
