It seems Mt Hood Medical provider’s are very picky on who they want to see! An Asian man with a major insurance provider through his employer Blue Cross Blue Shield is being bounced around as it seems, this man has medical issues such as being a Type 2 Diabetic and needing other medical services for his diabetes but can’t due to their provider canceling his appointments. First appointment was set out for 3 months out for for Abigail Garrow NP, after waiting 3 months the appointment gets canceled 5 days before saying she is sick at home with COVID, the new patient ( wanting to be ) calls and waits on hold for 20 minutes to schedule another appointment 5 weeks out. On the scheduled day while taking a shower and getting ready to leave for the appointment he gets called twice but missed the phone call because he was in the shower, after getting ready for the appointment he checks his phone and sees that there was 2 phone calls and 1 voicemail saying his appointment was canceled again saying that she’s out of the office at the last moment? Really? He called again and they just rescheduled him for another 5 weeks out on Friday 09/09/2022 at 9:30 AM, 1st canceled appointment sounded legitimate, 2nd ( today’s 08/04/2022 at 10:30 ) cancellation seems questionable! If there is a 3rd cancellation, I will be helping him file a formal complaint against her certification as a Nurse Practitioner through the Oregon State Nursing Board!

Now I remember exactly why I do not like coming to this Emergency Room. My mom was very very ill and I dropped her off at 4:30am. It is now 7am and she’s only been triaged by a nurse. Mind you there is maybe four people in the lobby currently. She has Parkinson’s disease, and when she asked the nurse if she could get her PD meds, she responded with,” I don’t know, there’s not a lot of doctors here.” They have been rude, not compassionate, and unhelpful for her. They gave her zofran to calm her nausea and said “you don’t carry zofran at home?” When she said no, the nurse walked out the room without saying anything. This is disgusting and a joke to the medical field. Where is your bed side manner?

They have provided excellent care for my fiancee and initiative, made sure to make appointments for him when he couldn't get to it. Was great with my child's birth, righted any wrongs. The Emergency room wait was fairly quick most the time that we go. Would rather go here then any of the other hospitals.

The emergency room was incredibly busy and it took over 3.5 hours to get seen. My finger had been almost cut completely off. Then another couple hours in the back. This was not the issue. I totally understood they were super busy. It is what it is. My issue was it happened on a Saturday. On Sunday everyone but the ER is closed. I was having a ton of pain and was given 5 pain pills so I was only taking half a tiny pill to make them last and I called to see if I could take Tylenol or something else with them to help because it is really painful. I was transferred to a nurse to ask. She was nice at first but then became rude when I was asking questions. I get it they are busy and Iam clueless when it comes to pain pills because I dont ever have to take them. She was really short with me. When I finally said to her I was in there for hours yesterday and I cant ask anyone else because they are all closed and I thought since I will be paying that hospital alot for the services rendered yesterday I would be allowed a couple questions, she actually laughed at me. She thought this was funny. I honestly dont find comedy in my health and find it to be a serious matter. I dont know if Rebecca is normally a sweet person but at this point she was just plain rude. I was incredibly patient yesterday and appreciated everything they did for me. I just dont understand her issue with answering questions about prescriptions they gave me. She also said she can't give medical advice over the phone? Then what is an advice nurse? If the employees are so overwhelmed they cannot help people, then this hospital needs some serious work.

When are visiting hours for patients

My Grandaddy was there for his final moments in the early 80s and although they said something about visiting hours as we came in,,we went up and seen him anyway and nobody tried to cause a big stink about it. Just keep in mind you can tell them the room number you're going to and the circumstances and they'll be happy to help you see your loved one!!I wish you and your family the best!!!
