We are SO happy we were able to get our two kittens into Castro Animal Hospital as patients. Every single person who works there has been so friendly, helpful and has gone the extra mile for us. When we were dealing with a scary kitten emergency, they even got us into an appointment day-of and followed up multiple times to check in on us. Could not recommend them more!!!

Yesterday was our first vet visit for our new puppy (of just under 11 weeks). The front counter staff were friendly and patient with my many questions, and even though we were quite early, they let us sit in the exam room so our puppy could explore and get comfortable. When Dr. Liang arrived, we were so happy to see her calm, confident demeanor, which put our puppy at further ease. She answered all our questions and provided lots of great information. After his vaccination, our puppy even came out with a smart bandana as a prize! Everyone was really great - our next appointment is in two weeks and I have no doubt it'll be as successful and calm!

We've been taking our cats to Castro for about 2 years and the vets and vet techs have all been fantastic. Our normal checkups have been quick and easy and in an emergency situation Dr. Lee called up two emergency rooms to make sure our cat got the help he needed before his condition could get worse. If we weren't moving out of the Bay Area (which Dr. Lee has also been extremely helpful with regarding moving with cats) we would definitely stick with Castro.

Dr Lee?(sp) Saw my gurl who means sosososo much to me. Later in life with the usual health issues of a Himmy at this stage. I LOVED her knowledge, quick responses without being rushed, handling of her, efficient front desk people, cleanliness and prices equivalent to my other vet. I feel lucky that I got into see her.. Will take Patsy's sister there next. Edina.

They do not overnight / board pets. There are other great facilities in the city that have non medical boarding for pets.

Hi, Does Jayson Johnston , DVM now work at the hospital with you folks? He left previous clinic, now a VCA clinic, and I'm hoping to avoid "chain veterinary care". Thank you

Julie, I think you wrote this question on the wrong hospital's google page. The doctor you named does not / has not worked with us. I believe you meant to write this for a hospital located in SOMA - that hospital (along with many in the city) is a corporate backed chain with financial investors. We are a small single family owned practice.
