Small, simple and efficient airport. I was able to get in my car within 5 mins after landing. Can't expect such fastness in other airports. Only concern I have is they don't any shops to buy coffee or quick food but that's not a big thing.

The TSA agents here need to be retrained on what authority they possess and what they are or aren’t allowed to rifle through. Just watched an agent fumble through the makeup bag of the woman in front of me before it had even gone through the X-Ray machine. They continued to repeat the same behavior on all women who followed through the line. It’s very clear that they have no idea what is, or isn’t, within their authority.

Now I have never flown from this airport, and probably will not ever have occasion to fly from or to this airport, but I am giving it five stars - Why you ask? Good question! We were on the way to Yosemite for a few days vacation and knew that snow was coming while we were there. So rather than going through the chain up process and expense (we pay people to do it for us) we decided to take the YART - Yosemite area regional transit. The airport in Merced is the first stop to load up on the bus and the parking is FREE. It is a small lot and the bus is right on time. The ride was nice and thank you Merced Regional Airport for taking good care of our car.
