Nicely maintained trails, quite at night sadly a car drove off a cliff that morning

A small campground. There is a restroom which can’t be locked but it has toilet paper. Water source is abundant with river nearby. Go along the river and you can reach the Millard canyon fall. Go cross the river then you can reach brown mountain trail. You can go to brown mountain or Switzer fall from here.

The drive up to the trail was nice, it wasn't crowded that day so we found parking. Dogs are allowed as long as you keep them on a leash.

Millard is definetely one of the nicer and more cared about camp grounds as it is very clean, people are very nice, and the bathrooms and trash cans seems to be regularly maintenanced and cleaned. Firewood seems to be fairly plentiful, you just have to go looking around for it and make sure you bring a small saw to break it down further to make it useable in the fire rings provided. Water source via a river seems to be very clean and has a good taste once filtered. Bear boxes are available so you do not have to put your food in a tree. Good place to also do some nice care camping as the camp ground itself is about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot.

You are supposed to pay for a daily pass, that is sold on many gas station stores in the area. It's like 5 dollars for the day and is valid up to 11 am from the next day.
It's open during the week, closed on weekends.
Sure you CAN RIDE ... Bring with YOU some MTB Bells cause we SHARE the trails with Hikers and Runners ... Always SAFE first ...
As long as its a quiet one, youll be fine. Ranger wont really trip on you. Make sure that you shoot it by the creek only.
Yes, I actually had a small bobcat cross my path. I was actually driving and it was going from one side of the road to other. Stay on trails theres so many people there hiking the trails that your pretty safe as far as coming across animals. Your more likely to come across a person doing something stupid like trying to climb up the walls. Seen this more than once.
No fee but get there early it fills up quickly make sure you have a adventure pass for your car
They have fire pits and I have never seen them ask for IDs. You need a pass to park.if you're under 18, you should have parental permission.
No, but the hike from the parking lot to the campgrounds is probably about 3 minute walk.
Yes, it's a pretty small camp ground I think 4/5 camp spots. There's a host person who stays there in their RV. The restrooms are a few steps away, and the hike to the falls is a easy one .5 mile I brought my grandkids they loved it alot of rocks to climb on and a waterfall reward!
Unfortunately no but they do have like a few campsites.
They have the gate closed at the bottom of Channel trail on the weekends. But the road is open to the campground on weekdays.
No, it's tent camping only. You need to walk in to the campsites from the parking lot. It's probably a 5 minute walk from where you can park.
Yes.
Big 5 sports, 711 near the park, REI, park Rangers office
I would think so. Its open year round unless there is fire danger. The camp ground has only about 7 spots and theres a "host" there in a RV watching over the camping area. Its first come first serve you can not rsvp a spot.
Bears and bobcat. Technically its National Forest so that would make it part of D11 so as long as I'm not near any trails or structures I should be ok to hunt.
Opens at 6am
Actually only about 3-5 basic campsites and you need to hike 1000 feet from the parking lot to the site. There are vault toilets and the ranger trailer is adjacent to the sites. I would imagine you can can park you're trailer in the parking lot but you must display an Adventure pass.
You can buy an adventure pass at any ranger station but here's a tip if you get a ticket and you don't have an Adventure Pass the ticket is the same price as the pass they do not enforce the adventure passes and the tickets are $5
They usually only allow vehicles from dawn to dusk to drive in, but you can hike at anytime
yes. I feel more comfortable knowing there is a dog in camp. scares away wild animals.
