Today was my family’s first day at this church. Safe to say we all loved it. We will be coming back every Sunday!

I went to this church this morning to enjoy getting away from a very difficult week and to be uplifted. Instead, they have "movie" week and this morning they showed scenes from the Passion of the Christ; one of the most violent, graphic movies out there. The minister had his whole sermon taped and showed some of the scenes from the movie. I walked out. I did not go there to get depressed or have to watch such brutality. As I walked out I saw it being played out in the open area with children out there seeing this. Several people were walking out and one woman was crying she was so disturbed. That pastor and management should be ashamed of themselves for pushing that on people. It is expected at Easter, but not for a regular Sunday Service. I hope more people will complain, but at least there will be an honest review of this church, that Pastor's lack of integrity, and the chance children will be exposed to brutality.

Served there for 20 years. Love the people. Everything has changed so much so. Sunday school for the kids became more of a worship time. All of the ministries I was involved in are gone now. We used to serve the community and other members. The women's ministry used to have great retreats and luncheons. Those are gone now. It's too big and almost impossible to have a wedding or a funeral there. The final straw is that they got rid of the young adults church service. Just lost all of my kids. The focus seems to be on being a mega church now and I don't like someone screaming at me and telling me how horrible I am. I would rather have the focus on the love of Jesus, faith and following Jesus, theology, the ten commandments. I get enough of the news and politics already. I know which way to vote. I don't need to hear about that in church. And the music is too loud. I don't want to have to wear earplugs at church.

I have been going to this church for years. It’s is spectacular. The staff and members are very friendly. Dudley the lead pastor has been preaching for 35 years. He peaches right from the Bible. The worship team and music are awesome. This is one of the largest churches in California and I can see why. They have 1 Saturday evening service and 2 services on Sunday. Services are also steamed live on their website Facebook channel. Definitely a church you will feel welcome at if you ever go.

Shepherd has additional groups for bible study like Band of Brothers for men (Monday nights), Vintage Ministries for Seniors(Tuesday mornings), Christ Powered Recovery (CPR Monday nights in Porter Ranch & Friday on the Westside campus) for those struggling with addiction and Defenders Ministry which offers in-depth Bible study on various topics to help Christians better understand what they believe and the solid, logical evidence for those beliefs: Defenders exists to answer questions about the Bible; the teachings of Jesus and a biblical view of what other religions and world views teach. Defenders meets most Sunday nights. f you visit Shepherd’s website and look at the calendar in the EVENTS section, you can see when and where these and other groups meet.
Sunday services are at 9:00am and 11:00am and there is also one on Saturday evening at 6:00pm
Most definitely : I believe in God our Father, I believe in Christ the son, I believe in the holy Spirit, our God is 3 in ONE ----is our foundation song. Please come for a visit- ALL, are welcome @ Shepherd

There will be fireworks but it's a "drive-up" & view the fireworks from outside the church property, tuning in to a radio to hear the music w/fireworks
I'm not sure but I know they have a lot of programs that help families like around Christmas time they bring you gifts to your home if you have any family that is in prison they send presents to your family for the parent that is locked up
you can also go online to 'Shepherd Live' and watch the actual sermon for the day on live computer or live screen whatever you want to call it and it's all live you'll get the same message as if you were right there at the church, you can also see past services on Shepherd life they have an app for that, Shepherd Life starts the same time the service starts so 9 is the first service 10:30 is the second service on Sunday
You would need to go or call to add your services.
Just go and just ask God for guidance. The church is a great church. They also have Spanish service. God bless you.

There are two services on Sunday and a service on Saturday, Each service lasts for one hour, twenty minutes. So the first service on Sunday starts at 9am and ends at 10:20am, the second service starts at 11am and ends at 12:20pm, while Saturday service starts at 6pm and ends at 7:20pm. The church also holds membership classes once every month from 1pm and many other programs which you will find out as soon as you become a member. Finally, the sermon is broadcasted Monday - Friday from 7PM - 7:30PM on KKLA 99.5FM radio station.

It is a good church. I do not think he adopts Rick Warren teachings. You should visit the church and see. Plus God is in church. Just look for him. God bless you.

Hi Cheryl - thanks for asking! Please see https://www.shepherdchurch.com/christmas for details.
I was the main dishwasher there and Chef Anna was upset when she came in because things was not right and chewed me out about it I took it to the head person there as in doing it the right way and was not helped I was treated unfairly because after I took it to the head person I was took off my schedule work dates for a whole months I just think it was unfair because I went through chain of command when I had a problem it was ungodly for me to be treated like this when all I did was break my back for the Cafe I feel it was more racial discrimination and sexist 4 to be at church and all I did was break my back with no complaints humbly
Hello Raul, I don't know the details of your bad and distasteful experience at Pillars. All I can tell you that not all people that go to church have a close and personal relationship with Jesus. Even among his 12 disciples we can see not all wanted to walk in His steps. I am Latina and I know in God's eyes He sees us all as His precious children. Jesus died for everyone and He seeks people from all nations, races, backgrounds... it is HE who will never hurt you, leave you or forsake you. I hope you don't give up on God because He does not give up on you. You are my brother or sister in Christ no matter what your race is. Pray for that person that mistreated you and know you are loved.
If you want to be Baptised immediately they will do it.
Approximate 13 miles, not missing will be a great blessing.
