The better vantage point for views were at the VISTA point. The welcome center is fine but the vista point has the better view. Try to get there on a low-wind day!

If you want to have a good picture of the Golden gate bridge in the background…this is a very good place…to get that kind of picture…especially if you visit the cafe over there… you can have a cup of coffee as well as outside the cafe you can see the beautiful scene of the bridge as the cafe is a little bit on top… have to climb a few steps… for us it was a good place to click pictures as it was raining and we had the shade so we didn’t had to get wet 😃

The view, absolutely gorgeous. So much to see in this area if you have time. Parking is paid on this side. If you go to the opposite side, it's free but not as much to do. There is a coffee shop ( it was closed when we stopped), gift shop, clean bathrooms, and many areas to view the Golden Gate, downtown SF, and Alcatraz.

Great place to stop if you want to learn more about the bridge. The whole history is here, there are also some great views of the bridge. You can even walk right down to Fort Point from here, which is worth doing. The shop has lots of gifts but you can also get all the National Park leaflets here too. There is also a cafe that does really nice snacks. We spent a couple of hours here, with the walk down to Fort Point and the walk to the middle of the bridge.

Before you get on it. And there are some steps that you can access to get closer to the water. Crissy field
I walked the area late evening myself and didnt have any issues. Never know though. Just ket others know where you are!
Parking is available free but is limited. Other adjacent parking spces are available which have different fees but can be 5 minutes walk from the venue
At the visitor centre there are bike racks near the bus stop and a few more dotted around the cycle path south side of the bridge. When you head to the north side where you want to go for Battery Spencer you have bike racks in the car park areas to lock you bike at the foot of the hill then its about a 20-25 mins walk to the top of Battery Spencer. Alternatively you can bike to the top and there are railings that you can lock your bikes there too.
Nope. No beaches at the main lookout points on either side of the bridge. Probably because of wind, currents & craggy shores. Maybe somewhere that I’m not aware of but not at the welcome center/vista points.
Not sure…when we went l…it was heavily raining so didn’t go actually inside the center…just went in the cafe and then back..so sorry..couldn’t answer your query
