A good haircut is hard fo find. A good barber can be even harder to find. When I first met Hendrick, he was cutting at a different shop. His haircuts were the best I’d ever found. Precise, consistent, efficient - he’s a true perfectionist. Always greeted with a warm hello and good conversation while in the chair. I had found a good barber and a good cut! So when he opened his own shop, Boardwalk Barbers, I of course followed him. The new shop is clean, bright and welcoming. His crew is great and each one is also a very capable barbers and each one also delivers great cuts. Hendrick is still my favorite and I’ve been a regular of his now now for years. Thanks Hendrick for creating the best barbershop in Orange County. and thanks for the best cut anywhere period. I’ll keep IMO g back and keep sending my friends! Guy

Bling Bling (Sassily Yours)

Wouldn’t recommend & so beyond disappointed. Unprofessional is an understatement! 2nd chair to left the. My son had medium length hair when coming in Sunday, 2/17/19. I asked the woman not to use clippers, but only scissors, because we didn’t want any type of shaved look. We wanted the top to remain longer in length with the sides and back shorter, but not shaved/faded. She asked if I had a picture, which I quickly pulled up. Since my son’s hair was straight & long, the style shouldn’t have been an issue. If it was, then as a professional, SHE should have said something, because I assume the first thing any good barber does is to assess the hair’s texture and its integrity to see if the wanted style can be achieved. She starts and all seems to be going fine until she asks me if a portion looks OK. I said it seems to have “mushroomed” up over here and pointed to the area. She acts like, “oh, I’m not done, I’m just asking you how it looks so far.” She says that she will fix it and starts cutting shorter which leads to the front being cut shorter. She then starts flipping his hair in front over to the right side of his head and was telling me that when it’s down it will look like this. I had already told her upon sitting him in the chair exactly how his hair ALWAYS falls, which is to the LEFT. ALWAYS! There is no hiding the fact that you just cut a chunk so short that now you want his hair to “fall” over and cover it. She then attempted to berate me in front of my son, saying that I should never walk in to get a haircut without a picture and started in on how she had already gone through 7 styles with me??!! I LITERALLY threw my hands up in the air and told her, “I showed you a picture! If you were unable to achieve that look, you should have said something. You have chunks of hair missing here & here and it's way to short now. (his hair was way above his eyebrows!) At no point did I take a dig at your skills, so I am not sure why you just got flustered with me?” She literally looked at me and with a cocky attitude said, “oh my “skills” were never in question.” And did a hmph! UNPROFESSIONAL! Review your tapes if you have them, owner! She then tried to pull herself together and was shaking her head saying, “I just want you to be happy with the haircut.” TOO LATE! You chopped his hair off. The “look” will not be achieved for at least 2 months and after we go to an establishment that has professionals. Not everyone is looking for a buzz cut, which is clearly perhaps all this woman is capable of doing! NOW not only are your cutting skills in question but so is your bad attitude and lack of professionalism. The proof is in the pictures. I literally walked out with a son who has hair like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber! There is no “fixing” this. Hair is hair and it will grow, but you bet not only will I never come back here, but we will also never recommend your establishment. Also, as a side note from a mom to an establishment. If you have employees that cut children’s hair, please ask them not to stand in front of your establishment and smoke and to wash their hands afterward.
