Came from out of state to camp and hike this area! The campsite was nice and big which we took full advantage of. The information on the board at the campsite was different from what I read online days before but we figured it out. The toilets were OK, kind of dirty, could have been better. We were lucky enough to get an intact fire ring but our grill grate was broken off, we still made it work. It was nice to have access to good drinking water!

We really enjoyed this simple little campground tucked in the woods. It was clean, relatively level ground with packed gravel. We tent camped at sites 15 & 17 (I believe) for two nights, which were quite spacious and surrounded by tall pines. Most sites had at least a little privacy. The vault toilet was clean. No showers. The only negative thing I can muster up is the condition of the fire rings, a few of them are unusable and the dumpster trash cans were overflowing which means critters can (and will) drag trash, and litter the beautiful surroundings. I definitely recommend a stay here if you can do without a shower house and electric.

Quiet, campers all kept to themselves. Pit toilets both had broken door handles, and ran out of toilet paper one day during our stay. Despite that, we would happily stay there again.

Redbud is a great campground with a 5 minute walk to Bell Smith Springs. The camp host was pretty cool and knowledgeable of the area. It is more primitive but has vault toilets and a water supply, but NO shower area if you're looking for that.

The hand pump is exactly what it is too. You have to pump continually until water comes out. Although primitive, it is quiet and peaceful and very clean. No electricity, no shower house, just a couple outhouses and a water pump. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit.
