I went through the place with an e-bike and somebody was standing there staring at me. I got out of there real quick because it was making me flashback to one of those movies where they catch tourists and eat them. Other than that it seems to be exactly what its purpose is. I don't see any luxuries except for the central house, but it's quiet and it's calm and the road really sucks

Stopped in at Haleeka Campground to look at relocating from the campground where we have our rv at a perminate site on the Susquehanna River. As we drove into the campground, my wife and I looked at each other, shaking our heads. The place looks run down, junk cars/trucks sitting at some of the sites. The place just looked like a junk yard with trash littering most of the sites. We quick got out of there, and told my wife I would not camp there no matter what. And our look and see, was beginning of Sept.Mr. Lightner with all due respect your lcharacterization of our green little rural campground borders on slander. Most of our guests are in the gas industry and have brand new trailers and trucks. Fortunately our sites are large enough to accommodate them. Your assertion that junk vehicles are everywhere is simply not true. As far as littered sites....again a bald faced lie. Everyday I walk the campground and pick up any incidental litter. We are a small rural campground thst has catered to tens of thousands of people over the last 43 years and almost all have left after a wonderful experience. We are proud of our little green slice of paradise on Lycoming Creek. We have been at full capacity for the last 5 years so we must be doing something right. Frankly Mr. Lightner I have read some of your other reviews and you come across as a miserable person who thrives on drama and negativity. Had I an open spot you most certainly would not have been welcome. I do however welcome anyone so inclined to come visit our campground and judge for themselves the veracity of Mr. Lightner's characterization.

Charming historical & rustic campground by Lycoming Creek. Wonderful campground inhabitants, fascinating & friendly manager (Rob). NOT a KOA, but isn't that a good thing!? Great prices too, just 20 minutes north of Williamsport/Jersey Shore.
